There are a number of things that the computer system will reset automaticly, but, it usually requires 2 drive cycles.
A drive cycle includes, accelerating, highway speed, local speed, stopping. If you have already done that, you may try to reset by removing the ground cable, ( black wire ), from the battery for a minute or so.
CHARGE BATTERY / TURN KEY TO RUN POSITION FOR TEN MINUTES
SECURITY LIGHT SHOULD GO OUT / TURN KEY OFF FOR 3-5 SECONDS
TURN BACK TO RUN FOR TEN MINUTES / REPETE / USALLY TAKES
3 TEN MINUTE CYCLES / THAN TURN OFF / TURN ON SECURITY LIGHT
SHOULD GO OUT AND ENGINE START AND RUN
try a simple reset first. just drop the charger into the base and watch the charger light. when it flickers that has reset it. if that does not work try resetting the handset by removing the battery for about ten minutes. remember to drop it into the base after you have put the battery back in to sync it with the base. if neither of those methods work which they should... unplug the base for about ten minutes.... make sure you also unplug the phone line as well. after it has reset plug it all back in and place the handset into the base again for a few seconds
hold the power switch down for ten seconds then remove the battery hold power switch down for 30 seconds replace the battery hook up the charger to run on external power let charge for five minutes then restart if this dont work have to reset the bios by removing the motherboard battery for 2 minutes then startt
the process takes about thirty minutes. in three ten minute key cycles. here is how you do it . make sure that the battery is fully charged. step on parking brake pedal and leave it down this will keep the head lights off. turn the key and try to start it then leave it in the on position. you have to leave the key in the on position for ten minutes. you will see the security light on. after the ten minutes the light will go off then turn the key to the start position. turn the key all the way back to the off position and count to three. then try to start it and leave the key in the on position for another ten minutes till the security light goes out. you have to do this same process three times to reset the security system. sometimes you get lucky and it will start after the first ten minute cycle.
