When I throw the cd in the deck you can hear it spin, and I cant skip to the next song (the song#doesnt change) then the face says CD E2, then eject cd. Do you know if its a code for a burnt fuse or something else?
Is this a "home burnt" CD? The code means CD ERROR #2.It is usually because the CD was written in a format the head unit can not play.If it is a studio CD. I would contact Panasonic and find out what code # 2 means.I had a code too because of what I said before but I do not remeber the # it was.

my pioneer deck does the same thing its just that when in aux mode, it will not play loud enough, i have to turn it up all the way just to hear a little sound, and i really dont know y, but when in those mods, it usually doesnt put out sound on ur subwoofer or amp rca wired on back of ur deck, and usually they do, but the power is not large enough for ur amp to pick the frequency up from ur rca wire connections. that also has happened to me before, i just usually ignore it, and just burn an mp3 cd w like hundred songs, so i dont need a ipod or mp3 player for aux.
If it does it with any cd and it played before you have to clean the lense or laser. Get a cd player laser cleaner disk or cd. If you still have problems take the radio fuse off in the fuse block to restart it. Remove the fuse wait five minutes then reinstall. Also some times when you burn CDs in the wrong format the cd player will not recognize them.
yal ever fix them? its the ribbon cable between the face and the circuit board inside the unit the ribbbon cable is very cheap on ebay just google for example cdx-m610 ribbon cable now for the repair close ur face before u take out ur radio assuming u guys still have ur remote to do so theres 3 screws on the bottom of the face when u go to carefully pop the front panel off after pullin them hold ur deck facing down (this will keep ur reset and open buttons from fallin out then theres 4 screws holding in the face's circuit board roll the board out of the face very very carefully pry open the little black lock holding the cable in the connector then open ur radio up pull out the cd player assy same thing with that connector then ull notice the cable goes thru a tension roller pull each end of the cable to unroll it hold it there while removing the cable and sliding in the new one then slowly let go of the roller reattach the cable ends and put everything back together with the face remember its easiest to hold the deck face down those 2 buttons will stay in place hook the top of the face's cover first then put the deck back in ur ride and enjoy these ol sonys r worth a $20 fix specially if they still work good hope this helps yal
