Question about Cnet WNIR3300 Wireless Router
I have connected modem to the router to get better speed but i only get 150mpbs everytime. if i should download a file say 1gb it takes 1-2 days
Your router can do 300mbs Like a car can go 150 miles / h. Your car almost never goes that fast. You router neither. The other side, the line to your provider is even more important. They sell up to ??? mb/s, but you never get that speed. Only in the best circumstances someone could come close, but as soon as more users are on line or in the same segment, the speed will drop.
I think if you use a 1 Gb/s ethernet cable, from the router to your computer you won't add much to the speed.
Even if you have more WiFi hotspots close to you, they can bring your speed down a little. So plenty reasons, why you can try to speed up your connection, but none will really work. At least not as drastic you could reach twice the speed you now have.
