Used machine. I read the manual. The lever was all the way down, moved it up and down twice and then it got stuck.

The pressure lever will not go all the way down.

If oiling is mentioned in the manual then try oiling the machine, and see if that helps, and if not, then it may need to be checked.

How can I run pressure foot selector switch

Pressure on foot is regulated by the screw on the top of the machine directly above the pressure foot bar. Make sure your lever on back of machine is down, then turn the screw by hand, left for less pressure and to the right for more pressure.

Has anyone adjusted the presser foot inside the machine? That can throw it off or sometimes you need to look under the machine head into the oil pan to make sure there isn't something stuck and holding the pressure up from there.

Is this a new or used machine? Does it have enough oil in the pan?

When i release the leg lever to let down the presser foot ,the foot wont release all the way and now it wont stitch

Mine does this too sometimes. Lift up the head and look in the middle of the oil pan. The knee controller runs through there. Make sure the black knob is not stuck. Hit the knee thing a couple of times to make sure it is not stuck. It should move freely up and down. That may fix the problem. If not, look st the small post to the left and behind the oil intake. Move the manual presserfoot lever on the machine to see it move. It will be stiff, but it should still lift a little. Usually jigging these two parts will fix the problem. Good luck..

THe Pressure foot on my Baby Lock BL101 blind hemmer is stuck and won't go all the way down. I just got this. It is a used one. I Did move it to the top and down once but the second time it would no

without seeing the machine it's hard to tell what's wrong with it, look in the manual, check about the oiling of the machine, but if oiling doesn't help then you may have to have the machine checked, if you got the machine at a sewing machine shop, I would suggest calling them and telling them about the problem, if you got it from a individual, then it may need to be checked to see if it needs a adjustment or see if there is a broken part.

Why won't pressure foot move up and down with lever? What could be wrong?

If in storage, the old oil has probably solidified. Clean and oil it. If still stuck, direct heat from hand-held hairdryer into internal mechanism to loosen.

What is pressure foot on sewing machine. where is pressure foot

This is the foot that comes down and holds the fabric layers under the needle.

There will be a pressure foot lever to raise and lower the pressure foot at the back of the sewing area, it usually operates vertically, although some makes have a lever that works horizontally.

The pressure foot needs to be lowered BEFORE you start stitching as it activates the top tension and also helps with the stitch formation by holding the fabric firmly as the needle moves up and down.

You can read some general sewing machine info at too.

Pfaff 6122 Problem

Your machine just needs to be tuned up an the part inside that lower and raises the presser foot needs to be re-lubricated.  Lint, dust, dryness and the machine not being used can cause this issue with most pfaff machines (including my 7570).  A standard tune up from your local PFAFF dealer will remedy this.

on the backside of your free arm there is a small lever which can be moved to lower the feed dogs.
When you want them back up move the lever the other way.NOTE!!
They will not go up until the machine has made one revolution.
