It depends on your subwoofer type & model. Some of them has screws under front cover of speaker, Some of them has screws at rear side.

How to open the subwoofer of the creative sbs a200

Simply unscrew black back panel. Circuit is attached to plate. Sockets sealed with hot glue for air tight. You can melt hot glue with solder iron if neccessary.

Power light on but no sound form proficient s12 subwoofer

The power supply is working but it is possible that there is no supply to the SUB WOOFER amplifier. It is important to remove and open the unit to probe and confirm.
It can be failure of the inline fusible due to a faulty output driver.
Finally check the subwoofer using a AA cell.

Subwoofer stops working at times and will not work.have had it about 4 or 5 days just started doing it today

many pple have the same problem.... that subwoofer stops working sometimes when playing music or something else... I also faced the same problem .... I did the following things..

open your subwoofer. checked all connections for any loose contacts... and then check the wire of the main speaker.....

IF YOU FIND DIFFICULTIES IN OPENING OR IF YOU DONT KNOW MORE ABOUT THE INTERNAL PARTS OF SUBWOOFERS.. THEN DONT TRY TO OPEN IT.. YOU MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO IT...IN THIS CASE :

GIVE YOUR SUBWOOFERS TO THE SERVICE CENTRE FOR REPAIRING...

My subwoofer only works when the weather is warm

nice way to ask something :) you must open the subwoofer box and check the connections. the problem is bad contact. with cold all metals shrinks and with warm they expand and make contact.

Don´t forget to rate.
Thanks

Popping harman kardon subwoofer

Mine did the same thing all of a sudden. The problem is a AC mains detection circuit that seems to affect many previous HK sub models. The solution that worked for me was to replace capacitor C112 on the main pcb of the subwoofer amplifier. You need to remove it from the circuit board with a soldering gun and replace it with a higher rated capacitor. I used a 2u2 40v and the subwoofer is working perfectly again! :)

No subwoofer output

A subwoofer is a system which is tapped from a main amplifier, and if that is not working than open and check for a dryjoint, aresistor which attenutes light signals into heavy sounds, or just a jack at the output. thanks

Subwoofer just stopped working. There's power but no sound.

I have the same problem. My guess is that the subwoofer coil is messed up. You MIGHT have to get it recoiled. But before you do any of that get someone with a sub to play their sub in your car, if it works.... then your sub is messed up, if not.....then your amp is messed up ( trial and error ). Today i noticed my subs rubber surrounding is crooked, that may be the problem for me. Also when I press down on the sub it makes a sticking sound, like something came loose. So once i get everything opened and out ill let you all know the solution. Good Luck!
