Question about Emerson 32" Le320em3 720p 60hz Led Lcd Hdtv Tv
I have tried everything that I could think of to make it work. I really don't know what else that I can do to get it to work!!!!!
Unfortunately these TV's are known for power supply issues. If you have power at the outlet and the cord is in good shape then it is most likely the power supply board. If you are competent on working on these at the component level, you can find replacement power supply boards for these on ebay for $20-$40 otherwise you will most likely find that it is not worth fixing, however you can try calling your local TV repair companies and see what they will charge you to repair or replace the power supply.

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

SOURCE: won't turn on
I want to save you time and money here.
A new TV just like the one you have at Walmart cost $189.
A TV repair shop will most likely charge you $100 just to look at it. And the part, Backlight Inverter/Power Supply Board ( I believe that is broken ) will cost $110 min ( That's a used part).
It would definitely cost more than $210 to repair the broken TV vs buying a replacement 19" TV at Walmart for $189.

SOURCE: I have an emerson flat screen that will not turn on ? The red stand by light comes on, but when you hit the power button the green light comes on then shuts off quickly and the TV will not come on?? A
Try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 mins so the TV can reset itself.
If that doesn't work, most cases with the Emerson TV, the Inverter Transformer goes bad on the backlight Inverter Board. It's what powers the screen for your TV. If it can't power up the screen, it automatically shuts off. Basically, they call this "Protection Mode" with this happens.
You can get a replacement backlight inverter board at this web site link:
Just make sure the board number matches your board.
If it fixes the problem and you decide to throw your old board in the trash, I would like to keep the damaged board if possible. I want to do some research on the board to find out what really causes the transformers to go bad. Here's my e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org

I own the same TV and had the same problem.
It's the #1 plaguing issue with flat panel TV made by Funai corp. Emerson is made by them.
Normally, when this happens, the TV goes into " Protection Mode " because of a failing circuit board.
The most common thing to go out on flat panel TVs is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can'tactually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptom. I'm willing to bet you have the same problem like mine. One of six Inverter Transformers when bad on my Power/Backlight Inverter Supply Board. I replaced it and it works fine again.
You have a few choices:
1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself.
2. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
3. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual at Tvtechcenter.com; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $6. And most cases the new part cost less than $15. The service manual at the site is under LC320EM82S.
4. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Mine stayed in stanby mode and all I had to do was to switch the plug to a different outlet. The power strip it was on wasn't providing enough power. It worked fine for a month before I had a problem.
