SOURCE: fantom upright vaacum- cyclone XT

There are two screws just to the rear of the accessory compartment. There are also two hidden screws under the cord retractor lever. I tried to get the retractor off by pulling upward on it, but it just wouldn't come. It is not screwed down but held by friction via its hinges. The way I got at the last two screws was by drilling a couple of holes thru the plastic cord retractor lever - about 1" from the end of the lever on left side (looking from the rear of vac) and about 0.5" from the other end of lever.

SOURCE: Kirby Sentria vacuum -- can't figure out how to hook up main hose to vacuum floors

First you need to press the foot pedal for the height adjustment all the way down to lift the front of the vacuum off the floor. On the front top of the vacuum where the LED lights are is a cover. That section will lift up by lifting just below the LED's. Once it's lifted up there are some visual instructions, but here's what they are saying. The little circle on the front divided with the word KIRBY is the belt release. The section of the circle with the word on it will pull out. Like a wind-up flashlight it will turn from lining up with the green arrow counter clockwise 360 degrees and lining up with the red arrow. This takes a little pressure to turn it. Now just above this circle, under the LED bonnet, there is a lever that holds this whole front end on. It must be turned also counter clockwise to remove and front then slips off. The reverse would be used to put the beater roller portion back on. Also this would be the way to slip on the hose attachment to **** through it instead. I hope this is a little clearer.

I misplaced manual for Bissell Bagless Cleanview II, nothing being picked up in the plastic bin, where to I look for clog other than bottom of hose near bottom plate please?

Recline the vacuum fully to the floor when looking for clogs in the lower hose. You can run a broom stick through the upper hose to remove any clog. Also, check the brush to make sure there is no obstruction. Lastly, make sure all 3 filters are clean and clear because if they are dirty that can restrict air flow drastically. You can purchase filters at www.bissell.com

I just got a used sc-a102 vacuum and I need to

Greetings from GoVacuum.com,

The Sanyo Performax model SC-A102 use the Sanyo Upright Bags Part Number PU-1 Bag. We stock most of the parts for this Sanyo if you ever need anything.

Here's some links to the products on our site that will fit your vacuum cleaner:

- Sanyo PU-1 Upright Vacuum Cleaner Bag, Generic 9pk.

- Sanyo SC-A102 Performax Vacuum Cleaner Belts, 2pk. Part SC-BL3

- Sanyo SC-A102 Performax Vacuum Cleaner Exhaust Filters Part SC-FU1

http://www.govacuum.com/sanyo-bagless-upright-12-inch-replacement-roller-brush-beater-bar-sanyo-part-6490002487.html

GoVacuum.com can also special order any part that you require. I hope that this helps you. The Sanyo uprights are pretty good quality, inexpensive vacuum cleaners. They use metal in all the right places, and last longer, unlike models that use just plastic.

Vacuum cleaner

I need to buy a vacuum cleaner - the flooring in our house is mainly Oregon pine with loose rugs. I suffer from back problems and find the cylinder vacuums cause a great deal of back strain. I have been told that an upright vacuum is not suitable for wooden floors - I would appreciate any advice, particularly if you knows of an upright vacuum cleaner that works well on wooden floors. Thank you

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Well, I can think of a couple of solutions for you and I hope they will help. #1. The first thing that came to mid was to stick with the canister vacuum with good suction but instead of dragging the canister vacuum around and having it irritate your back problems you can have a longer hose made in the length that would be comfortable for you and to use not a vinyl brush with black bristles, instead you can use a good horsehair brush of which is better for the wood floors and will not scratch the wood floors. #2. It does not have a lot of suction but id you buy an electric broom like Hoover or Eureka you can convert the plastic tool that comes with it from the factory and use and adaptor and install a good horsehair brush, it like an upright but the cord is much shorter, you may have to use an extension cord. #3. if you own your own home you can install to your existing home a central vac with a 30 or 35 foot house with wands and a horsehair brush and then you can go in any direction but then your hose is much longer. Or you can shorten your hose to 20 or 25 feet , but then you are adding more inlets to your existing home, it is up to you. A central vac straight suction is less than an est of $750.00 or less depending on the unit your purchase but a lot easier and all your got to do is empty the bag or dirt cup from out in the garage and the sound is also out in the garage or down the basement . A local vacuum cleaner dealer can assist you with any of the 3 choices that I suggested. I hope this will help you. So, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Thanks, Don the Vac Man
