If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Testimonial: "I opened it up and checked for bad electrolytic capacitors, burnt components, open fuses, and loose connectors. Unfortunately, all the boards and their components looked pristine. The power supply board is not putting out its DC voltages, but it won't if the controller shuts it down because of a bad panel, backlight, etc. At this point, the only option I can think of is subbing in known good boards from a working unit until I can isolate the fault to a particular board. Then I can start checking components on that board to further isolate the fault (or opt to replace the faulty board.)"

Sharp LC-70LE745U will not power on. Blink code is 3 long, 1 short.

The frequency and color of the blinks will indicate the issue. There is a hold-down button sequence to try to backdoor your way into the set to see if the panel will light. You may have simply racked up too many "weird tuner faults" and need to reset it. My suspicion is that it's either that or bad panel backlight. To do this simply
Unplug set, press and hold (on set) volume-down and channel-down and hold them while pluging in the set Will come on with "k" on screen, or will crash again if backlight bad.
If it stays on, use your remote and arrow right then look for "fact init" and any other reset and turn them on. Arrow back up to "fact init" and hit enter.
Let set recycle to green and unplug/re-plug in 5 seconds: the set should be in OOB state.

Different model number in the link below but I would assume they're the same fault.

Red light blinking

Red light indicates set is in shutdown because of a problem either in power supply of set or something in another area is pulling power supply down---a short.

If the light or lights on set do not blink a specific sequence someone has to open set and perform specific tests---maybe not a do it yourself repair?

Brand new TV, spotty HDMI functionality (sometimes recognizes cable box or comupter, but not always). Attempted firmware update on a Sharp Aquos LC-32SH7E (European model). Don't think it ever...

Did you go through the entire factory reset? When you plugged in the power cord did you continue to hold the volume - and input button until the television powered on and a K appeared on the screen never releasing at all?

Force the tv on by holding down channel down and volume + on the tv while plugging the tv in. See if the tv still lights up and if you get audio.

I have a Sharp AL 1631 copier. The drum replacement indicator came on. I purchased a replacement drum. The indicator continues to blink and the copier will not operate.

You can reset this indicator by pressing these keys in sequence:
Press "C" then press "Exposure Mode" then "C" again then "Exposure Mode" again.
Note that the Exposure Mode key is the far left key on the panel.
One you press these 4 keys in sequence the display should go blank. Then key in 24 as if to make 24 copies. Then press Print (Green Button)
Then key in 7 as if to make 7 copies.
Press print again. You should now get flashing 000.
Turn machine off then back on and the light should be gone.
Here it is in a short version:
C, far left, C, far left, 24, print, 7, print,
then power off and back on.

Sharp LC-26D43U TV. After power is turned on the power light comes on for a couple of seconds and then there is a click and the power light blinks 4 times then pauses and repeats the 4 blink sequence......

Power board is detecting an 'over-or-under-voltage' condition from other circuits. Could also be high dc volt shut-down. In either case, the tv is in protection mode to stop further damage this is why it flash an error code 4 times. Each number flash intervals tells the tv-technician what area the fault may potentially be. take it back if its under warranty, or have a repair shop near you fix it.

SHARP AQUOS 32 INCH FLAT SCREEN

I had this problem as well guys. Just found a fix thought i'd share.

I simply went into menu>setup>reset . This will perform a factory reset, and you shouldn't have that K or the volume problem anymore.

I tried all the fixes involving volume- input- nothing worked. I tried volume- ch- but that K never changed colours.

It all came down to a simple menu option reset.
