How to test and replace radiator cooling fan.

Hi.

Here a tip illustrating steps to test and replace the radiator cooling fan and the parts that may cause cooling fan malfunctioning.

Before replacing the fan, make sure that the fan is really faulty.
Read volts at fan contacts or jump the fan wiring to energize the fan directly.Ensure that fan blades are not blocked.

If the fan is OK, then the faulty part is either thermostat or fan relay.Ensure also that you have tested the 15A fuse in the junction block and the 40A fuse located in the Power distribution Center (PDC).

Here a diagram showing the location of the fan relay:

Finally, here below the steps required to replace the fan. The procedure is quite simple.

  • Disconnect the battery negative cable and set it apart.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector to the radiator fan.
  • Undo the bolts that hold the top fan housing and fan assembly (this is called Radiator Shroud).
  • Remove the Radiator Shroud housing. The radiator shroud will come out with the fan sliding toward the top side.
  • Install the new fan performing the operations in reverse order.

Here a diagram showing radiator shroud and cooling fan assembly:

Diagram of engine

The radiator cooling fan control module (also known as "radiator cooling fan relay", athough is is a solid-state control module - not a relay) is located on the left frame rail just behind the front bumper/headlamp area. You must to get under the vehicle and look up to see it. It looks like the picture below.

Fan WORKS FINE but has lots of dust and mold inside that needs to be removed, and I've taken the screws out, all except the one near the base, located right above the LABEL. This screw, a Philips head,...

there had to be reason the Fan was not to be disassembled .... yes you will need to buy a new unit... MOLD as you is bad thing. If you're allergic to Mold. you be hard pressed to disinfect the whole unit. for sure you will miss some of the Mold. It will come back.. The Mold is due to too much moisture/ Humidity. on top of getting new Fan unit you will need to get Dehumidifier, to remove the moisture in the room...
If dust collects in the new fan. at least you will able to clean out the dust.... if some of the screws look like a star and not a phillips, you can find 1 at hardware store. take a picture of it with your phone. show it the hardware girl or guy. they will be able show what you need to Disassembling the Fan. good luck shopping list
1. Dehumidifier
2. new fan
3. take a picture of not normal screw, when you need to disassembling fan gain.

I have a craftsman air compressor model # 919154010 it runs fine for small jobs .when it gets to hot have to shut it off so it wont get to hot the cooling fan does not kick in to cool motor does not turn...

After looking at www.searspartsdirect.com, the diagram for the compressor shows the fan to be directly driven from the compressor motor. It shows a bolt that holds the fan to the end of the motor along with the eccentric that operates the compressor. Make sure the bolt is tight first, if ok, then remove the bolt and the fan--look for damaged coupling to the eccentric. If the fan is damaged, there is no replacement for it listed--you will have to rig something to fix the problem. You might be able to set up an auxiliary fan to help cool things down. Hope this helps!

Need diagram for f250 v-10 serpintine belt

Look the fan shroud or radiator cover for a picture of the belt diagram;

If not there, you can thread the belt behind the fan then you can thread it over a blade and turn the fan, thus not having to remove the fan. Once the fan issue is resolved or not an issue and you cannot find the threading picture, then you can use your common sense to figure that the belt must be driven by the crankshaft and look at the ridges on the belt to decide which side of the next pulley that needs power and continue this process over and around each auxilary unit until you are sure of the threading then put your 1/2 drive ratchet into the tensioner and move (raise or lower) it asside making sure that all the little ridges are in place on the ridged pulleys then release the tensioner. That should do it.
good luck

How to replace a blower motor resistor in a 2004 jeep liberty

You have to take the glove box off and it is right behind it, need a #20 Torx to take it replace it. The glove box is the hardest part of the job, I just replaced mine on an 05 Grand Cherokee but it didn't fix it for me, was well worth the $8.60 to try though.

samsung pn64f8500 boot loop with evoulution kit 3000za installed I had perfectly working Samsung plasma ph64f8500 working fine with Samsung evolution kit 3000 ZA installed. Then we moved I took off the evolution kits so the movers would not knock them off. I powered up without the evolution kit installed accidently. Now both plasma are stuck in boot loop. They power up but go to the smart tv logo and cannot find the evolution kit. I read somewhere a long time ago that I needed to reset the evolution kit to a state where it had not been installed. The current issue is the Main Logic Board eeprom instructs the unit to boot correctly but it cannot find the evolution kit. If you boot without the evolution kit the system halts and indicates on the screen the evolution kit has been uninstalled and you must install it if you wish to view. If it could find the evolution kit one could go thru the menu to uninstall it correctly. One option is to manually reset the eeprom to remove the install instruction that boots looking for the evolution kit. I have been looking for the eeprom on the Samsung main logic board but I cannot download the logic board schematic. I cannot find the logic board number. The main logic board is BN94-0625C. The logic board has tow other part number references.• MFR Part Number 1: Samsung BN94-06205C • Board Number(s): BN41-01998A, BN97-06633G i have been researching the logic board IC Numbers and belive that IC 1701 is the eeprom that requires reset. The youtube videos for similar models indicate a eeprom that is listed as a part nmber for this samsung pn64f8500 unit as 24C512 and shows how to jumber 2 IC locations that will force the eeprom to reset to standard starup without the Evoution Kit 3000
