Good Afternoon Jamie Talbert, thank you for your post!

I understand that your orbit arm will not rotate on your Frigidaire dishwasher. Typically, to rotate that orbit arm it is the water pressure coming into your machine. If you have cleaned all the internal parts you may want to review that the psi coming into your dishwasher is between 20-120 psi. Once you have checked the psi it could be an internal issue with the orbit arm. You may need to replace that component. I would suggest reaching out to the manufacturer for proper pricing and availability. -Matt

SOURCE: The upper sprayer arm does

Dishes not getting clean are often the result of drain poiblems. Check to see post cycle if you have a noticable amount of water in the bottom of the tub. If you note excess post cycle water perform the following:
1. Check the sink connection port for obstructions. This is usually a garbage disposal connection so make sre the port in the side of the garbage disposal (or where ever the drain connects to the sink) is clear.
2. Most dishwasher installations have an Air-Gap above the counter top before the sink drain connection. This need to be checked for obstructions. Lift off the cover and NOTE in installed positon of the inner cap as it will only install ONE way. Unscrew the threaded plasting retaining nut and lift off the cap. This is were most the time you find debris. Clean this as best you can. I often use a wire coat hanger and a flash light to reach down the inside of the assembly to clear obstructions.
3. Check the drain hose for any signs of collapsing, kinks or folds. Then with POWER REMOVED from the dishwasher remove the drainhose from the dishwasher drain connection and check that port for obstructions. Clear any blockage.

Make sure to test the dishwasher after doing this.... Add a pitcher of water to the unit then hit cancel / drain or start a long cycle as the fist thing that will happen is a brief drain period.

After this wash some glassware and check for cloudy / spotty glasware post cycle.

If you STILL have the problem remove the lower wash arm and support (if so equipped) and clean off any screens, or ports and if you have a sump clean the sump.

Since you did not include a model number this is a generic response that should get rid of the problem but... if it persists I will need a model number for further dis-assembly, troubleshooting and cleaning instructions. We can resolve this. Just make sure we keep communication going until the problem is corrected.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Why do planets orbit the sun

In a word, gravity. The solar system is thought to have formed from a rotating disk of dust and gas with clumps in it. As these contracted the whirling sped up, like a skater drawing in her arms.

There is a law called the conservation of momentum which meant that when planets eventually pulled together in lumps, due to gravity, the spinning of each, and the spinning around the Sun, stayed on.

The Sun has held all this activity to itself in orbit by its massive gravity, which is still felt way out past Pluto.

My Amana Softsound 2 isn't getting dishes clean - the lower arm doesn't rotate. We cleaned around and under the arm as much as possible, got some gunk out from under, but still not rotating, so...

Check the nozzles of the arm themselves. if you found lots of gookl there maybe some inside the arms blocking the spray holes which cause it to spin

Water won't circulate inside of the dishwasher. Neither the upper arm or the bottom arm rotate. Water does go in, and it will drain but will not circulate inside.

Dishwasher won,t clean dishes ontop rack

Make sure the top rack is pushed back all the way to connect with upper sprayer arm water port. Also make sure nothing is preventing either sprayer arm from rotating and there is nothing blocking the sprayer arm holes, like seeds or pieces of plastic debris. Also make sure your water heater temp is hot enough.

Cant seem to get the saw to rotate have a 12 amp orbital saw zall

if by rotate you mean the orbital action, could be a couple problems. first there is a pin inside the gearcase that rides on an eccentric shaft that one or both could be worn not allowing this. Also the lever mechanism that turns for the orbital might not be rotating fully. I would suggest before attempting anything that you go to Milwaukeetools.com and under parts/service download the breakdown so that you can see what you are getting into. DO NOT remove the retaining ring that holds the orbit pocket assembly into the gearcase, it requires a special service fixture to reinstall and it is no fun. Let me know if you need more assistance and I will try and help. Thanks

Top level rack pots are not cleaned, spray head does not rotate but water coming out of sprayhead, no obstruting parts

Check and see whether it freely rotates, when turned manually. The spray arm rotates under water pressure from the pump inside the machine.

Check inlet water pressure and clean the strainer at the inlet hose end near th inlet to the machine. Check and clean the spray arm axle housing also

Electric Bosch hand held orbital sander belt not rotating properly

My guess is that your sander got gunk in the belt and other rotating parts and you are either burning up the belt, or (hopefully not) the motor windings. Rick

Orbit walking sprinkler

You probably just have the arms pointed the wrong way. To travel forward the angled part of the arm should be pointed in a clockwise direction. Aim them the other way and it travels backward.

The dishes no longer get clean even though the water is getting through....are there filters I need to clean or could the soap dispenser be a problem....please help

there are filers in the inside bottom of the machinbe which should be taken out and cleaned regularly.
problem may be that the spray arms are not rotating. open the door when in cycle and check each arm rotates(you will get a bit of water out)
if they are not, the problem is probably debris in the arm so take them out and clean (this is quite tiresome to do and the usual culprits are rice and sweetcorn)
the arms only rotate by water sqirting out of angled jets at the end of the arm and if these are blocked then arm doesn't turn

Bottom Washer Arm Problem

Hi Karen P The bottom arm ( well all arms really)is rotated by the water pressure created by the main pump. The bottom arm should spin freely when rotated by hand. If not, then the bush (or plastic bearing) may be worn or sticking. These parts are fairly inexpensive (at worst a new bottom arm will be required). Contact your local Maytag spares supplier and ask for a Bush repair kit for the bottom arm of your model. Regards
