SOURCE: soft/hard reset combination keys doesnt work for nokia 6280

try this for soft reset

12345 is a standard code and 00000, but if you change it and you have forgotten your unlock code, you'll just have to reformat it

key combination which is used to hard reset the phone (similar to #*7370). It is useful in some cases, for example when the phone cannot reboot.

The trick is
Switch off the phone.
Hold down the following three buttons: Green (call answer) button, * button, and ‘3′ button
While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone
When the message ‘Formatting’ appears on the screen, release all of the buttons...

reformatting your phone will delete all your data and also will restore all the defaults of your phone, and any corrupted application will be reinstalled, but if the formating doesn't work, you'll just have to re flash it, the safe way is to go to a near repair shop of your phone and have then to re flash your phone,

Wii nintendo bought used how do i reset it

Method One: The Soft Reset The soft reset is the easiest way to reset the Wii, and the least intrusive. There are two ways to perform the soft reset, either using the Wii remote or the button on the console.
To reset the Wii using the Wii remote, begin by pressing the home button (the small button with a house on it). This will bring up a menu screen. Next, move the cursor to the button labeled "Reset" on the screen. Press the "A" button on the remote to select the reset option. This will reset the system.
If the Wii remote is not responding, users can also reset the Wii using the button on the main console. First, locate the button labeled "Reset"--it's on the front of the console, beneath the "Power" button. Press and hold the "Reset" button for two seconds, then release the button. This should reset the system. Users should remember that resetting the Wii will shut down any running programs immediately and destroy any unsaved data, so only reset the Wii if it is causing problems. However, resetting the Wii will not alter any information stored on SD cards.
Method Two: The Hard Reset If the soft reset doesn't fix the Wii, users can also perform what's known as a "hard reset." A hard reset involves disconnecting the Wii's power supply and must be done manually--there are no pre-programmed buttons on the Wii that will perform the hard reset.
To begin the hard reset, find the "Reset" button on the front of the console. Press it for two seconds, then release (this performs a soft reset on the device). Next, press and hold the "Power" button. Continue holding this button until the light in the button switches from green to red--this means that the Wii console has shut down. Now, unplug the AC power adapter cord from the wall outlet or surge protector as well as from the console itself. Allow the Wii to remain like this for five minutes.
Once five minutes have passed, plug the AC power adapter cord back into the console, then connect the other end of the cord to an AC outlet. Press the "Power" button to turn the Wii on. The system should now be running smoothly.
Method Three: Reset Factory Controls Sometimes, Wii users might want to return the system to its original, factory-shipped status and remove any personal data. Nintendo especially recommends doing this before selling or gifting a used Wii to someone else. To perform a factory reset, also known as formatting the system memory, go to the Wii menu and select the "Wii" button, then select "Wii settings." Click on the blue arrow on the right-hand side--this will bring users to a page called "Wii System Settings 3." Select the option labeled "Format Wii System Memory," entering the parental controls PIN if requested. Finally, select "Format" to complete the factory reset. This will remove all hard-drive data from the Wii, and such data cannot be recovered, so users should only perform a factory reset if they're sure they want to do so.

Palm T3 frozen, tried restart in hole, nothing?

Doing a soft reset A soft reset tells your handheld to stop what it's doing and start over again. None of your information will be lost. After a soft reset, a screen appears that lets you reset the date and time, if needed. To do a soft reset, use the tip of an unfolded paper clip (or similar object without a sharp tip) to gently press the reset button inside the hole on the back panel of your handheld.

If a soft reset does not unfreeze your handheld, you need to do a hard reset. Doing a hard reset Only do a hard reset if a soft reset doesn't solve your problem, or if you want to clear all of your information from your handheld. [!] IMPORTANT A hard reset deletes all records and entries stored on your handheld, including the username that identifies the handheld. Before you do a hard reset, be sure to synchronize.

How do I connect my new roku?

You could see something for sure.

Verify the input you have the Roku plugged into is the one you currently have selected on the TV.

If that doesn't work, plug use a paperclip to press the small "reset" button button the Roku.

You can also choose to perform a hard reset:

Hard reset

If a soft reset doesn't fix your problem, a hard reset may be your only option. This will clear all data off the Roku 2 and reset it to factory default settings.
1. Remove all cables except the Power cord.
2. Using a paper clip, press and hold the Reset button on the back of the device for about 15 seconds.
3. Continue to hold the Reset button, then remove the Power cord from the back of the unit.
4. Release the Reset button, then plug all of the cords back into the device.
The Roku 2 should walk you through the setup process again.
You can also accomplish a hard reset by selecting Settings > Factory reset > Factory reset > Yes on the device's menu.

Finally, try using a different HDMI cable.

Let me know if any of this helps.

How to hard reset nokia 5130

You can reset it using a soft or hard reset. The following instructions provide you with information on how to reset the Nokia 5130 using both methods.
  • Soft Reset
The soft reset is often the better option if you are worried about losing data. There is a chance the soft reset will also default to the factory settings, but there is a bigger chance that it will not. With a soft reset you will enter in *#7380#. This tends to clear any pending errors and on most phones it will help your phone work properly.
  • Hard Reset
  • The code for Hard Reset is *#7370#. Enter these digits into the phone and press yes to confirm. This will start the initialization process. Make certain you have already saved all important data. You do not want to lose your contacts, memo, or other information due to a hard reset. You may have issues with a Nokia phone that is not turned on. If there are problems such as these you can try hitting three buttons simultaneously. Hit the +*+3. If you can hit these three buttons all at once you may be able to get the phone to turn on, and then you can go through the hard reset with the proper codes.
These codes work with all of the Nokia models including the 5130. You may find other options do exist such as the power button while pressing the space key and delete key, and caps/ shift button will also hard reset the phone.
It all depends on whether or not the *# keys work. Sometimes they won't work if the phone is in phone lock or key pad lock and you need to get it open first.

You want to do a hard reset or a soft reset?
The soft reset does not erase data (photos, videos, documents) or applications from the phone.
The Hard reset restore the phone, it will be just like when you first brought it.

Once you know what reset you want, choose the code

Soft reset code: *#7780#
Hard Reset code: *#7370#

Mac and Thompson router

I've run into cable modems that don't like to use ethernet sometimes. In cases like this, I have to do a soft reset of the modem and things usually work again.

To do a soft reset, do the following:
  1. pull the power cord from the modem
  2. count to 5
  3. hold down the power button on the modem
  4. plug back in the power
  5. count to 30 while holding the power button (the modem should be blinking a lot)
  6. release the power button and see what happens.
