Please don't try to do a firmware upgrade, on a device that is not working 100 %. You need a good working device, to be sure the software is placed in the flash memory, as it was meant to be.
I don't think there will be any firmware around for this camera. So if anything is wrong with the camera, first try to find out what it is. Solve the problem, and only then (if available) upgrade.

SOURCE: Blury Display on FE140

It sounds like your lens's focus element is stuck. Given the events you describe it is possible that a grain of sand has worked its way into the focus motor's gearing and jammed it up. Normally the small motor moves the focus optic in and out to achieve proper focus, if its movement is limited or completely jammed you will experience blurry pictures. The camera will have to be disassembled and the sand cleaned out to restore normal function. There are repair providers you can find online who can work on your camera. There is a button on the back that can be pressed called Disp. (stands for Display). There are two or three settings it flips through each time you press the button. Press this button a few times to cycle through the choices in each of the playback and camera mode to see if this resolves your issue. Happy snapping...

SOURCE: blurry lens after using it underwater

Sadly that symptom indicates that the camera is broken.

The device's seal protects both from the condition that you are seeing, but also protects the internal circuits from moisture.

If water has gotten inside the camera, I would pursue returning it and getting a replacement from the company.

Hi I hv a toshiba smart tv it's two years old , it comes on but does not hv pic it does hv sound

if you choose the menu does it display menu items or is there no image at all? No image at all when you press menu would mean the backlight is likely not working and requires repair. If you do get menu items on screen check the image settings and ramp up brightness and contrast

Olympus Stylus 850 SW LCD screen will not turn on. The camera itself will turn on and take pictures but i must do it blindly. i cannot see the pictures nor can i see through the lens.

If you camera is built with a viewfinder there is usually an option to de-activate the lcd screen. Usually if you press the display or play button on the back it will re-activate. Also try to access any of the menu's by pressing the menu button. If this does not work also then the LCD is probably bad or not making connection. You would have to find a local service center for repairs. www.phototech.com is the local service center in NYC or you would have to send directly to Olympus in Woodbury Long Island.

Good Luck

When power on blured screen apear and blured image

1. Try cleaning the lens with a soft dry cloth. Do NOT blow on the lens first. 2. You could be experiencing camera shake - if you are in shutter mode and if your shutter speed is too slow for the light available you get a blurred image.

Cant take a pic says card is full

If this is a brand new memory card, the two things to do/check are:
- Make sure the camera supports 2GB of memory (manual should say that)
- Format the memory card - the manual should give detailed instructions of how to navigate through the menu and perform a format on the memory card

How do i delete all pictures from memory card at once

The best way to do this is to reformat the card, an option which must be in the settings menu somewhere. This has the added benefit of resetting everything on the card. As a matter of fact you should always do this once you have downloaded the most recent batch of pics.

Olympus stylus 800 lens problem

Fair reasoning but I suspect incorrect.
The screen remaining black- do you mean that it shows no menu item either? or are you getting those but no image? clarify.
If you are getting nothing- is there a hint of 'shadow' images but not illuminated?
It nothing at all then this is an indication of a connector/ main board failure.
Lens not appearing could be the drive motor has stalled.
But the two items together could also mean something much easier to resolve- The battery[s] is not delivering enough power.
Clean the battery contacts. Make sure it is of the correct value as in the manual - if you have replaced it recently .
If that fails it may be new camera time as the likely cost of a repair will be high.
