I have a DP video car stereo on my 1999 corolla. The volume knob suddenly didnt respond when I turned it but The press down function works, switching to bass, treble etc but I cant change those settings...

Sometimes multifunction controls fail because the button cannot be fully depressed. This is caused by shaft slippage inside the knob. The bottom of the shaft cavity in the knob can be shimmed to restore proper operation.

Altec lansing 221 computer speakers sound solution

Unfortunately it looks like Altec Lansing goofed up on this set and didn't provide a bass control knob. You will need to use some sort of software equalizer on your computer to turn the bass down.

The bass go in and out ,the sub bass knob is loose, can i fix it

Hello,

the bass nob must have worn out, that's why it cannot stay firm when you press it in.

Get something tiny like a pin, press the bass knob in, and at the same time fix in the tiny object by the side of the knob, to hold the bass knob firm, so that it will not pop out when you let go off it.

Take care.

Finding how to set the treble and bass

Under the silver volume knob is a thin silver bar. Push it and the menu will pop up on the screen. Continue to push this bar to scroll through the different options. It controls bass, treble, balance, fade, sub volume etc. Good luck, hope this helped.

Wired bass control knob

Not all controls are the same. Manufacturers use various schemes to control the level of the audio. If you use a control that's wired improperly, you risk damaging your amp.

My Onkyo Receiver TX 601 is turning itself off

Several things can cause this: Loud signal passages can momentarily draw high currents at the mains, especially if you have unit plugged into power stripe with other equipment. Or if unit is plugged into isolation transformer, current draw may exceed output of transformer. Too many speakers hooked to output or if one is bad (partially shorted due to overheating)
