Question about Unisar Extra Headset For the Tv Listener Tv777

1 Answer

When I connect Unisar TV920 to the digital (S/PDIF)audio output jack on my Philips 26PFL4507 no sound comes through. I've searched for a "simple" resolution. Is it something to do with the S/PDIF?

Television to connect with is Philips 26PFL4507.

If the cable you use to send the S/PDIF signal is a fiberoptic toslink cable, inspect the ends very closely. The clear plastic nubs that protect the laser output can look an awful lot like part of the connection itself. If you haven't done so, remove them and try again.

Hi,
The Unisar DH900 input uses a 3.5mm stereo audio jack for input, whatever you need on the other end depends on to what you are connecting it to, here are the I/O specs for the Unisar DH900, it should come with various adapters to suit most eventualities, http://www.yourhearing.net/pdf/HC-DH900.pdf

How to output sound to a 2nd device

If you need an analogue output, you can tap stereo analogue audio by using one of the two sets of "pre-out" RCA jacks on the back of your receiver. These provide "headphone like" output power, and will not overload any analogue input connected to it EXCEPT MIC and PHONO inputs on the 2nd device. If it's digital audio output you need, there's an HDMI monitor out, that will provide digital audio to another HDMI input equipped device. You'll have to get a relatively cheap adaptor if you need this digital audio output in another digital format/connection (like the popular S/PDIF optical or coaxial).

I would like to connect my computer to my panasonic sa-ht800v unit and hear the sound thru the surround sound speakers

In general, your PC's sound card (and its controlling software) will determine what it can connect to.

Even the most basic PC would have stereo analog output via the typical green 1/8" connector or a headphone jack that easily adapts to RCA pair for analog audio connection. Any Line Level input EXCEPT PHONO would accept the PC's output. The output level would be controlled by the sound card software and settings.

The SA-HT800's single LINE Input would accept the Green stereo audio or speaker output from a standard PC, once adapted. Select VCR.

Find your PC's Sound Controls and enable the applicable input. make sure the volumes of both Inputs and Outputs are turned up.

Though not applicable to theGemini, more-advanced sound cards and audio hardware would have similar adaptable 5.1 or 7.1 (paired) analog outputs and / or digital audio outputs that conform to the s/pdif or Dolby Digital standards.

Easy.

In general, your PC's sound card (and its controlling software) will determine what it can connect to.

Any Line Level input EXCEPT PHONO would accept the PC's output. The output level would be controlled by the sound card software and settings.

The Gemini's Output (Record Master) would perform similarly if adapted to your PC's audio input, whatever that may turn out to be (usually Mic, maybe Line In).

Connecting BA735 digital 3.5mm plug with S/PDIF coax jack

The male mono plug (from the left small speaker) should be connected into the right speaker (small speaker with controls) . After plugging the multi pin cable from the control speaker to the sub-woofer you need to plug in a signal source from your computer (or any other digital signal) into the sub-woofer. This digital input looks like an ordinary RCA plug but carries many channels of audio. That connects to the enabled digital output of your computer. Some computers output digital through a 3.5mm jack others look just like an RCA phono jack. If you are lucky some BA735 sub-woofers have a second input that is a standard 3.5mm stereo jack and it will take analog audio from computer, DVD, MP3 player or the like. I have three sets of these speakers that I love because of their big volume considering such a small size.

Setting up tv sound to come thru stereo speakers

Hi,

Offhand, your Philips 32PFL7422/98 do not have regular Audio Output RCA jacks (white and red), sorry. However, right before the antenna connector is an S/PDIF output connector. This should allow transfer of digital audio signals from the Philips 32PFL7422/98 to a S/PDIF capable receiver or amplifier. If you would look at the rear of your stereo and determine if it has such an input, then it would be a matter of getting the right cable/connector.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
