Take the drain hose off the machine and look at the pump outlet for an obstruction. While the hose is off, be sure the hose is clear of any remaining debris .

SOURCE: electrolux dishwasher all lights blinking and wont

Remove the toe kick by loosening 2 screws. There is a panel there with little lights that correspond to specific problems. The light that is on will correspond to the problem that the dishwasher has detected. Correct the problem and you should be good to go. I have no idea why this is not in the instruction manual. A common one is that there us a leak that the dishwasher has detected, normally in the drain pipe.

Remove the kickplate at the bottom of your dishwasher and see what error you are getting. Likely a leak error.Dishwasher likely has leaked into drip pan underneath. Unfortunately, you need to remove dishwasher and flip onto back and remove 3 phillips screws that hold drip pan in place. Install "leak kit" to correct leak problem with this model of dishwasher. My electrolux dishwasher runs for an extended period and cleans the dishes poorly.

Hi Robert, thank you for your post! Often when a dishwasher takes too long to complete a cycle, it is because more than likely the incoming water at the sink is less than 120F, which it can delay the performance and advancement of the timer until proper water temperature is reached. Best way to ensure the proper temperature is reach, run the sink faucet until the water comes out hot before the dishwasher is turned on. I suggest confirming that the Delay Start option has not been selected and highly recommend using rinse aid to help increase cleaning and drying performance. If the instructions above do not solve the problem, I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website

Electrolux dishwasher overflows

Two things to consider....clean water or dirty water?

Clean water usually indicates the fill valve is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water in all the time = new fill valve time!!

Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose. The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem indicates a slow house drain for that sink.

The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.

When my dishwasher drains both sides of sink fill with water...then they both eventually drain back into the dishwasher.

Sounds like your sink drain trap or line is clogged. When the dishwasher drains, the sink drain can't keep up, the water backs up, then backs down the dishwasher drain line into the dishwasher. You may not notice the slow line when you run a little water into the sink, but with the amount of water coming from the dishwasher the problem is worse. You can try taking off the trap under the sink and making sure it's clear. If the problem is farther down the drain line, you can try snaking it yourself, or call a plumber. I don't recommend using Liquid Plumr or Drano because if those don't work, they leave the line full of caustic chemicals for the next person who works on it. That can be dangeerous.

Electrolux error code 1, how to reset.

Also got error code 01. Unplugged dishwasher, turned off water supply, disconnected water supply line at sink so it had slack to pull dishwasher out of built-in space, removed two wood screws holding dishwasher to counter, pulled it out onto floor, put it on blocks as reader suggested, tilted to side 45 degrees, water drained out onto rags. Then restored to upright, restored supply line and opened valve at sink, plugged back in, unit automatically reset, returned to built-in, reinstalled screws to counter. Worked like a charm. Took more time to read everyone's advice than to do the job (about 30 min.). Thanks.

Water is coming out of air flow gap. I installed a new air-flow gap and all new lines from air flow gap to sink (except the line from dishwasher to air flow gap) and i still have water coming out the air...

The leak in an air gap is usually caused by a clogged sink discharge line. Most of the time this is connected to the garbage disposal and there is food particulate in the drain hole where the dishwasher drain from the air gap to the garbage disposal connects.

Pull the sink connection hose off and clean the hole thoroughly. You can try testing the dishwasher/ air gap by placing the disconnected hose into a bucket during the pump out period. It should not leak. After this test...reconnect the hose to the sink connection.

If it is NOT connected to the garbage disposal then remove the hose and clean out the hole where the connection is made. This is a common problem and easily resolved by the user.

Thanks for using FixYa.

This is a very good web site. Thx for pulling it

It is possible the check valve is sticking causing sour water to come back into the washer. The check valve is located where the drain line connects to the back of the dishwasher. Also make sure the drain line is higher than where the line connects to the drain under the sink. Most washing machines have a loop built into the line but it helps it to drain better when the line is higher. Try hooking the line to the top of the cabinet under the sink if possible.

My dishwasher is backing up into my sinks and all over my new floors help

The drains can be configured a number of ways. Here's what you need to do:
Look under your sink at where the corrugated dishwasher drain line connects to the drain. From there, trace the main drain line to the wall. Your line will be clogged up in that area. Get something to catch the water, and disassemble the drain line until you locate the pluggage. Reassemble.

your dirty water backed up into the washer (which it shouldn't do) and probably clogged something in there,..i would recommend getting it flushed out somehow, not sure how,.....next time, your washer drain hose should go up under the sink as high as possible and then back down to drain,....this settup makes it hard for drain water to go back into washer,....it's instructed in any dishwasher manual
