My new Pioneer cd deck just shut off and wont work, after only a month. How do i check for a popped fuse?

This receiver has a 10A fuse besides rear connector (see image bellow), please check if it isn't blown, if it's OK, check at the panel fuse, normally this is located to the left corner bellow dashboard, close to the driver's door, besides fuse checking, you can also verify if you have 12V at the yellow or red cable by using a 12V pencil type tester or a DC voltimeter.

Sounds like an overload. Make sure it's getting enough air, no shorts, and using speakers with compatible impedance.
If you press and hold down the power button long enough it might reset it...up to 15 seconds I think.

i belive the bigger should be the switch power. all the constant should do is keep your memory alive and the clock ticking. it would take more power for the radio to actually work. and did you buy an install kit? if you did all the directions would be really simple.

Remote not controling fan

You either have a bad receiver or the receiver isn't wired correctly,

On the receiver house wire side are black, white, and green.

On the receiver fan side are white, black, blue, and green. The black is hot for the fan, the blue is hot for the light. They can be wired together from receiver to fan.

At the bottom are a blue and a white wire to go to the lights.

Sometimes when installed the receiver is placed so that a part of the wiring box obstructs the signal from the remote and it doesn't work properly, or misses some commands.

I recommend buying a new remote and receiver and wiring the receiver in so that it rests on the sheetrock beside the wire in box.

Receiver will not turn on for wireless guitar

I have torn 2 of these receivers apart and have ohm'd them out and found that the manufacturing process to put them together is very sub par.

On the two I had Capacitor c3 was off the board (smd). This is NOT a repairable problem if you don't have the low heat soldering equipment. Besides, you might correct one problem and find you have others because of the forceful procedures you have to do to get it apart.

Unfortunately the only thing you can do is buy a replacement (available at Red Octane's site[19.99]) or take a chance on EBAY sellers that claim to have the item [9.99].

Also, if you have a lot of time on your hands it is possible to hard wire the device (I do not have the pinouts). Pinouts should be online as I have seen several articles on it.

Hopefully I have given you some insight.
