SOURCE: I cannot open the remote sensor for my Oregon Scientific PSM06AR.

I believe the back of the sensor slides open. There may be a faint arrow on the back that indicates the direction in which you push.

My unit took well over 24 hrs to reset. I think it has to do with the position of the satellite in relation to where you live.

Oregon jm828wfu stopped working, no display

Mine did the same. Remove 4 phillips screws from the rear. Carefully open and expose the innards. Remove 6 smaller phillips screws from the black box exposing the battery bay. Pull out the tiny battery tension spring and clean the contacts. Refit in reverse of removal. Refit batteries- worked OK for mine.

Installing new battery

Turn the calculator over. Look for some small screws that fasten a 1 or cover to the body of the calculator. Loosen the screws and remove cover. You should find button cell batteries. Before removing them make a note of the sign you see on the batteries (+ or -) while they still in place. Replace the batteries with the same model or equivalent ones. Replace the cover.
For more detailed instructions consult your calculator's manual.

Blank screen for wind --- new batteries in everything

Did you press the reset on the solar transmitter after you replaced the batteries? It is left of the NiCAD pack if the AA batteries are on the right. If after pressing reset, and you are using a WMR 938, and still not receiving, press and hold the "channel" button for 5 seconds on your monitor to re-register the signal from the transmitter.

How to remove cover from waring pro wo50

A broken cork was stuck up inside my Waring Pro Wine Opener. Model WO50B. No amount of maneuvering could get it out. I removed the two small screws holding the silver part of the opener on. After that was off I could see two more screws and I removed those. The unit still would not come apart. I noticed that there were four oval shaped rubber plugs up on the black part of the unit. I pried the ovals out with a wooden skewer. That exposed the other four screws holding the long part of the unit together. Once I got those out, I gently pulled the two sides apart about an inch. I could have pulled it completely apart at that point (I think) but from there I was able to free the broken cork from the big internal cork screw. Everything screwed back together fine and the unit works again.

Describe in detail how to open up a electro mate 400 B&D

  1. Unsnap the black plastic tray on the bottom. Turn the unit face down. Loosen four screws along the bottom edge.
  2. Loosen two screws in the handle and one screw on each side.
  3. Use flat blade screwdriver to pry up black rubber bumper near the top (back side only) and loosen one screw underneath on each side.
  4. Open the flat panel, remove any contents and loosen two screws at the back.
  5. With all 12 screws loosened turn unit face up with bottom toward you and gently pry bottom apart. There are wires and tubes connected inside so just prop it open enough to work.
  6. Replace battery ($29 + shipping on Amazon, search on battery model like CB19-12 or EXP1218).
  7. Reassemble.
  8. Tell spouse you just saved $150; collect reward.

I can not open my "key fob" to replace the battery, does anyone know how to open it?

hey,, There are hidden clips inside you just need to pry it apart... some of them the back cover slides off, but most just pry apart. Look at the back and make sure there are no screws and no hidden screws (like those under rubber stoppers, the stoppers must be removed to expose them).. any way once thats verified, simply insert a flat head (blade) screw driver in between the seems and pry it apart.

The back of my camera is stuck closed and I cant get my film out. Several people have tried with no success. Can you tell me how to get it open without breaking the camera? Thank you!!!

I've seen this happen multiple times.. Sometimes taking the camera in and out of certain environments can cause the plastic to bend and expand. The way I've fixed this is to simply remove a couple screws from around the camera and the door holding the film in. Sometimes you have to remove all the screws.

Doing so will not damage the unit, just don't pry it apart. Unscrewing a couple of the small screws will loosen the grip that door has a little bit and you should be able to get it open.

Thanks!! Hope this helps! If it does, please rate :)
