Firstly make sure your PC's motherboard can support extra memory modules and what type. Crucial memory have a great tool that will scan your system and tell you how much memory your PC can support and what type. The site also had useful videos for installing memory modules.

If your motherboard can support extra memory make sure your PC is disconnected from mains electricity and remove the side access panel (ground any electricity in your body first before removing the panel)

You should see what look like long channels with a small locking tab at the end. Most modern desktops have anything between 2-6 memory channels and at least 2 are usually used. Install your additional memory in any free channels or double up on existing if your motherboard allows. Make sure the modules are inserted correctly and you hear a 'click' from the small locking tab at the end of the channel. Replace the side panel and plug your PC back into the mains and boot up.

If the memory modules are installed correctly your PC will recognize them during the boot up process. If it doesn't here is a link to some troubleshooting tips:

Why does my PNY memory card have a communication error when I try to put pictures onto my computer?

Flash-memory cards have a finite "life-time".
After that time, you can read from from memory,
but you cannot write new files, nor update existing files.
Copy all the files from it onto your computer, and then discard it, and purchase a new memory-card.

Playing itunes music on pny usb

did you sync iTunes with your flash drive ?

Launch iTunes.

Connect your media player with SanDisk memory card installed to your computer through its USB adapter.

Wait for the player's device icon to appear in the iTunes Source pane.

Drag and drop music titles from the library pane directly onto the device icon.

The music will sync onto the player's SD storage.

hope this helps

Is your memory card is recognize by windows or you didn't see it on windows explorer!
if you dont see it on explorer it could be solve by a service pack!
and if you see it on windows explorer but can't copy anything the card may be locked with the little tab on the side of the card!!

PNY memory

Hi

Dell Dimension 5150 supports DDR2 400MHz (PC2-3200) and DDR2 533MHz (PC2-4300) unbuffered SDRAM Memory (DIMM). You may install a total of four DIMMs in capacities of 256MB, 512MB, or 1GB. The maximum memory supported is 4GB.

From your query, I think the obvious question is; What is specification of the PNY DIMM and/or does the PNY DIMM meet the requirements for Dimension 5150?

Check for memory configuration and installation procedures for Dimension 5150 - http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim5150/en/sm/parts1.htm#wp1364711

The Chipset used on Dimension 5150 is Intel 945G Express. I am not aware of specific compatibility issues regarding the Intel 945G and PNY Memory modules. However, there may really be known issues that I am not aware of.

To proceed, ensure that the PNY Memory is compatible with Dimension 5150. If not, install compatible (memory type, speed, capacity) DIMMs.

Let me know if further help is needed.

Mike
