Question about HP Officejet 4622W wireless Multifunction colour ink printer
Cleaned printer, checked to make sure all cartridges are installed correctly.
Does the printer give any code on the screen?
Is it connected to a computer? did you setup the wireless connection?
Did the printer work before?
For you the answers will be clear, but without all these details, it is impossible to answer your question.
Just putting in new cartridges, won't solve all problems. Special not, if the cartridges were not empty in the first place.

SOURCE: color cartridge error message
I don't have a suggestion, but what I found when I looked closely at the plastic box that holds the cartridge; there is a small "s" shaped wire that is positioned on the side of the box. In my case, that wire was loose because a very tiny piece of plastic that holds it in place has broken off. I am still trying to see if I can get that box replaced. I don't have much hope.

SOURCE: check black cartridge message
This happens if you refilled the cartridges, and forgot to take out the air..
Follow this steps..
1. Switch on the printer, open cartridge bay, remove cartridge, dont close the cartridge holder flaps, directly unplug the power supply from the printer end.
2. take a soft cotton, lint free cloth, slightly swab it with pure water, wring the cloth so any excess water is removed, and clean the contact pins inside the printer cartridge holder..
3. clean the cartridge head by keeping it in hot water (about 50C) and then wiping it clean, keep it upright for a few min, and when both printer and cartridge is completly dry put it back in, voila it should not display the message now...

I know it sounds crazy, but I found a forum where someone suggested soaking the cartridge in hot water. A million people responded that they had been having the same problem with their HP printers and tried this technique and it worked.
