My ES1500 from the Infrared Heater Store stopped working after using for one winter. I cannot find anything about how to repair it. Any suggestions?

If it does nothing at all, plug a lamp into the receptacle to make sure there is power there. If so, the first thought process would be to look for an 'in-line' fuse internal to the heater. It may have a mini circuit breaker built into the circuit near where the cord comes out of the back. If you see a little 'switch' and it is showing some white on one side, try pushing it in to reset the circuit.

I'm getting an error that says alarm 1 - any idea how to fix that? I can't seem to find what the error means or anything

According to an insert with the manual: "Try holding down the "On" and "Run" buttons at the same time until the thermostat resets to the factory defaults. Then, remove the washable filter and make sure nothing is wrapped around or causing the fan to drag. What may cause this to happen is if the fan is not reaching full speed. Lubricating bearings or bushings in the fan housing and allowing to properly dry before retesting may also resolve the issue." This seems to be the fix for a couple of issues with the ES1500.

The panel on my jacuzzi bathtub keeps falling off. Previous owner said something about needing clips.

You will need to get those clips at your local Jacuzzi Whirlpool Dealer or use Velcro to hold each panel in place.

My comfort zone is not heating I had a infarared bulb that went out replace the bulb the heater still want come on it is hard to get techical support to tell what's wrong.

The bulbs on the older (pre-fall of 2010) Comfort zone heaters are in pairs... if one bulb of the pair is burnt out the other will not work. Also they are not easy to line up when replacing them back into the recepticle...they must line up perfectly to work.

How do i change the heating element.

The heating element is accessible through the lower front access panel. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Remove the two screws attaching the bottom of the lower front access panel to the cabinet then slide the panel down then off the cabinet. The heating element can now be accessed and repalced.

Remove the screws securing the heating element to the heater box then pull down the heating element to remove it from the heater box.

Disconnect and label the wires for the heating element and the components. Remove the components from the old heating element then transfer it to the new heating element.

Slide the new heating element up into the heater box and secure it in place. Align the slots on the top of the lower front access panel with the locating tabs on the front access panel then slide it into position and secure the bottom of the lower front access panel to the cabinet.

Creda Simplicity 1000 Washing Machine not heating water

Make sure that you have not got the energy save button in operation, as this by-passes the heater, and will wash at the incoming water temp. It should not be showing green
If this is not the case, then the heater has probably failed.
To access the heater, you need to remove the top cover, remove the soap dispenser drawer, and undo the 4 screws securing the console panel to the top of the washer.
Pull off the timer knob, noting the position of it, and slide the console panel to the right, support it with something.
Remove wire cllip holding door seal to front of panel, and pull off the seal at the front.
Undo the screws securing the front panel at the top.

Undo 3 screws at bottom of front panel.
Lift front panel clear, and stand it at the right of washer, be careful of the wires still attached to the door lock.
At the bottom, in the center, you should find a black cover, remove that, and you will see the heater element.
You eally need a meter to test it for continuity, and or an earth fault.
Replace if faulty.
Please leave a fixya rating for my suggeted solution.
Thankyou.

Heater pops the circuit breaker

2a9ae80.jpg
Lakewood 5500 Heater - Here is a picture of the rear side of the open heater thermostat with the two switches for 600 and 990W at the left. The 3oz metal piece is the weight that broke off from the thermostat assembly. It fell down and made a short between the case and the power switch. There is a visible burn mark where the short occurred.

I am convinced that if the heater ever falls over, the metal weight will break off and fall down and probably create a short against the case. It may disconnect the 120V power at the thermostat or cause a high enough current to kick out your breaker in the house.

The attachment of the 3oz metal weight to the back of the thermostat is not strong enough to survive when the heater falls over; it wil break off.
