SOURCE: No picture

it seems that the flex ribbion cable from the camera body to the lense assembly is damaged. A good repairer can replace it.

SOURCE: Canon Sure Shot 105 ZOOM ~TOTALLY LOST ~need any instructions I can get.

The flashing H means hat the camera has detected a hardware fault on starting up. It can also mean that the film has mis-loaded. Try removing the film & then the battery to reset it. Put the battery back & switch on. If it's still doing it then I'm afraid it's got the 'flashing "H" of Doom'. Although this is repairable, it's usually not economically viable.

SOURCE: low battery warning

What type of batteries did you buy?

For digital cameras, you want to use batteries with high milliamp hour (mah) rating: "2500 mah" if they are rechargeable.

If you bought regular batteries, you want to use good quality. Look for the "e2" or "better for digital equipment" type.

Does the camera have a DC power plug option? Try taking pictures with it plugged in if it does. If it still malfunctions with power right from the wall, then you bought a bad camera.

This Yashica FR's film advance is loose and does not wind the film, the shutter button does not work either! It has a new battery in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if I'm miss

yashika is a really cheaply built brand of camera, they always have been. as cheap as they have gotten now you might as well come up to the digital age. but if you are one of those hard core old school photographers then you can find some good canon, nikon or pentax film cameras on ebay really cheap. i wouldn't mess with this one any more

I don't know how to open it to put new film in?!?!!

Do you mean "Yashica"? If so, pull up on the film rewinder knob on the top-left side of your camera. The film door should pop open.

I still have my old Yashica "Electro 35". Don't use it anymore as I've gone digital, but it still is a pretty cool film camera.

Film advance

I bought a seagull 4a-105 camera and the film advance never seems to be consistent. Often times the frame counter numbers are not centered in the
viewing bubble. When I go to have the film processed, I have had as many as six to seven frames either double exposed, or no exposure in the frame. The
best that I have managed out of 12 frames is 8 frames done correctly. I followed the directions and threaded the film to where the arrows align with the marks, but still the problem persists. Is the film winder the culprit? If so, how can I repair
it? The camera cost me $217 new, and I can't justify spending $200 to repair it when I could buy a used Yashica online. Any help or advice is appreciated.
