There is a fuse in the cabinet for the electronics but you will need an electrician to get to it. have it check ed out or junk it.

SOURCE: no power in part of fuse box

There is a master fuse link near the battery Maxi fuses. one of them can be blown or someone took one out to fix something else. They don't blown unless the van has been in an accident the smallerfuses blow instead. You didn't state the year as oldest ones still had the old fuse wires on the battery cable where it hooks to the starter. Older vans have 3 back in the days of carboraters. Headlights all the rest and airconditioner heater. After the fuses mains are known good the ingtion switch can be bad. Dropping the collum to get access to the wires on the ingtion switch the test light will show three wires hot with the key on or a fuseable link is bad and with the key on they'll all be hot except the start wire that comes hot in start and the heater wires will go cold. all hot with the key in run or the switch is bad jumping power to a (dead fuse) may find a dead short then each dead fuse need removed add power and plug one at a time in to find the bad boy and run him out of the school with follow the wire till the pince or added haphazard repairman's wrong guess is removed. It's hard work but someone has to do it. Good luk

SOURCE: heater quit working 2001 Hyundai Elantra. Checked

If the heater is blowing cold air, it could be your thermostat. They cost $20-50 at an auto parts store. Also, after the car has been ran for awhile does it come up and stay at normal operating temperature? Is your coolant level normal? If the car is high in mileage and the cooling system has never beeen flushed, it may just need flushed.

SOURCE: How do you check voltage on the fuel pump on a

Hello Dennis.
When you are checking fuel pump voltage on your pickup when you turn on the key the voltage is only applied to the pump for a couple of seconds unless you go to cranking position.
There are 4 wires leading to the fuel pump on your truck. The gray wire is the 12 volt positive power feed to the fuel pump and the black provides the ground. The orange and purple wires are your fuel gauge wires.
The relay for the fuel pump is in your under hood fuse panel and I believe is marked on the underside of the fuse panel cover. It should click on and off again quickly when you turn the key to "on". Having a helper to cycle the key would be handy while you put your finger on the relay and listen to it. Just because it clicks still doesn't mean it's functional but relay failure on these models is somewhat rare.
I would start by checking for power at the fuel pump harness.
Fuel pump issues are quite common on these model year trucks.
Hope this helps you out.

Hi, Did you check the fuses on the stove. If it was built before and after model year 2000 there still should be fuses. If your stove is still under warrenty you may be able to get it fixxed for free. Good luck.

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
Hope this helps.

Ge spacemaker microwave

A microwave can be dead for many reasons.

If it goes dead for a while during or after cooking then comes back on, the magnetron is probably overheating and causing the magnetron thermostat to open.

Then when it cools, it closes the circuit and allows power through again.

If it's intermittent or random, it may be a bad connection, usually on the control board or a loose fuse holder, or even an intermittent fuse.

You should do a continuity test the fuse while it's in the holder (with the microwave unplugged, of course) then turn the fuse by hand or take it out and put it back in, then test it again.

If you remove the fuse, then press the meter leads against the ends, it can allow internal contact to be made and make a bad fuse appear to be good.

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.

If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.

If it goes dead or blows the breaker when you plug it in or open or close the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch mount.

If the fuse is good, it may be an open thermostat or thermal cutout on or near the magnetron or on top of the cavity / body of the oven.

If it has a hood thermostat, that should read open, as opposed to the others, which should read closed.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel, which is very helpful when troubleshooting.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Maytag Microwave dead

Check the internal fuse. Unplug it, unscrew and take off the cover, the fuse should be easily found in the back by the power cord. It looks like a regular fuse but is white instead of clear glass because microwave fuses are special. You'll have to measure it with a meter as a result and be sure to replace it with the same kind. (try finding them at radio shack) Hopefully there isn't something more serious also.
Hope ya fix it!
