How can I connect the USB Bluetooth bugs in Ubuntu 8.10?

<p>USB and Bluetooth connectivity errors in Ubuntu 8.10 are the result of two different errors. If you are running KDE, you have a patch on their Bluetooth connectivity problems (see Resources) to download correct. USB connection errors are the result of a bug in the current version of the Linux kernel. Run "apt-get package manager to upgrade the kernel is usually the fastest and most trouble-free. After the upgrade, the system restarts. <br /> <p><br /> <p>1. Open a copy of the console when running a graphical user interface (GUI). <br /> <p><br /> <p>2. Headphones are a convenient way to experience audio-rich entertainment on your own terms. Headphones allow you to customize your listening level without disturbing other people in your general vicinity.
Headphone cables can be a hassle, however, so many new headphone models feature a wireless connection.
PCs tend to be wire jungles, so eliminating one wire from a potentially jumbled mess can be an intriguing feature of wireless headphones.
Connecting wireless headphones to your PC allows you to take advantage of the benefits of listening to your movies, music or games through headphones without the struggle of the headphone cable.
Charge up or place batteries in your headphones and transmitter.
Wireless headphones require power to function.
Many wireless headphones come with a charger base.
You need to charge your headphones before you attempt to connect them to your PC.
Some wireless headphone models require batteries, which you must install before you connect the headphones to the PC.
Connect the transmitter to your PC.
The transmitter may connect via the PC's headphone jack or USB port.
If the transmitter connects to the headphone jack, plug it in and check your headphone's user guide to verify how to synchronize the headphones to the transmitter.
If the transmitter connects via USB, you will likely need to install software to use your wireless headphones.
If your wireless headphones are Bluetooth-compatible, continue to the next step.
Pair your headphones via Bluetooth to your PC.
If your PC is not Bluetooth-equipped, you will need to install a Bluetooth USB dongle.
Turn on your headphones and open the Bluetooth software on your PC.
Scan for Bluetooth devices from your PC.
Your headphones should appear.
Select the headphones and follow any further instructions to complete the pairing process.
Test the headphones.
Pick out a song or a video and play it on your PC.
Connect your wireless headphones and verify that you can hear the audio.
Find the volume controls on your headphones and adjust them to make sure the volume changes correctly.
If your headphones are not functioning properly, verify that the headphones are turned on.
If the headphones are on and you do not hear anything, verify that your transmitter is functioning properly and that you have your volume turned up on your PC.
Recharge your headphones when you are finished using them.
To ensure that the headphones are ready anytime you need them, you must always place them on the charging base when you are finished using them.
If the headphones are battery-powered, be sure that you always have spare batteries on hand.

When I plug the headset into the charger it blinks red and blue and won't hold a charge. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

You might have to check the adapter for charging voltage , if faulty you will need to check the wires, the adapter, if faulty replace.

If the adapter is fine and giving the right voltage then the battery within the unit is fault. you will need to open and check to confirm and replace.

Sounds like you've used this thing quite a bit, eh? Rechargeable batteries only last for so many charges. If a charge doesn't last very long anymore, you probably need to change the battery. This is not for the technically challenged. The battery may just pop out of a slide cover, or may require practically breaking the device in half to get it open, then unsoldering the old battery and resoldering a new battery in place.

But, it definitely sounds like you need to replace the battery. You may have to consider a new one - sorry.

My Insignia NS-BTHDP headphones don't have a red charge light anymore. The first charge out of the pack had the red light on. But now the red light doesn't come on anymore. I wonder if it is really...

The LED may have just gone bad. Keep using it untill the battery dies, then try charging it and use it again. If it works as it should it means the LED died and there is nothing to worry about, if not you may need to replace the battery.

Bluetooth with my Viewty

this is an excerpt from http://www.mobileinfo.com/Bluetooth/FAQ.htm
Q: What is the range of Bluetooth transmitter/receivers? A: Bluetooth is designed for very low power use, and the transmission range will only be 10m, about 30ft. High-powered Bluetooth devices will enable ranges up to 100m (300ft). Considering the design philosophy behind Bluetooth, even the 10m range is adequate for the purposes Bluetooth is intended for. Later versions of the Bluetooth spec may allow longer ranges.
and possible headsets are from(site only for examples of bluetooth headsets, please do see other sites) http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productaccessory.asp?productid=22709
as mentioned the maximum range is 10 m,do see if that helps u..also bluetooth on can drain the battery faster..
hope it helps!regards!

Need Info

Read the manual and you will be able to connect Bluetooth TO 660 , menu Bluetooth active , be sure you LG phone is active on his bluetooth, connect and recognize will be done , you will see.

GARMIN 660 is working with a battery and also with your car adapter. I don't see any reason why it would not work on battery ?.

Your issue is not clear concerning the battery ?

best regards

Won't charge up...

I had the same issue. So what I did was get a small screwdriver, opened the A210 case removed the battery. You will notice orange tape (remove it) then attached to the battery is a small board (the defective part) . Cut away the board, then you will need to solder the wires back to the thin metal film leads. And voila it will now charge, make sure to never let it charge for more than 2 hours. Do this at your own risk. Of course this will void the warranty.
