Question about Zebra QL 220 Plus Label Printer

1 Answer

I changed the Label Roll in my Zebra QL 220 Plus. After I turn on the printer it prints labels continuously and on the screen it shows "Extended Two Key". How do I get rid of this problem?

I had changed the label roll and since then it prints all the paper , even without initiating a print and does not stop until the label roll gets over. How do i overcome this issue.

Extended two key means one of the buttons by the LCD are sticking and not releasing, you use the two key sequence to print a device configuration but if you hold in the buttons for too long r they are sticking that's when you get the extended two key error.

SOURCE: Zebra 4M Plus printer keeps printing same label

Hi there
You can try see if this may do it.

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right

Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".

Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.

Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.

Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Were the new labels thermal paper? Thermal printers need specially made paper to work right.

Make sure the pause light is on and press calibrate. See if this calibration solves the problem. If not align the media sensors (top and bottom) to a position that is aligned with the least amount of preprinted data and calibrate again. Print configuration Power on while holding cancel key for 10 seconds. Use the config to help troubleshoot. Make sure the sensor type matches the media. Download user manual at zebra.com.

akos_brachna: You must have change the label sensor value, if using the Label Vista software, you can do this. But you must have made in software, not in printer.

How to calibrate the label in QL320 plus zebra printer? How to make it only feed 1 label per print?

create a text file called Calibrate.txt and in the text file type this:
~JC
^XA
^JUS
^XZ

then send the file to the printer using label vista.
this will then print 3 - 4 labels and stop.
once u press the feed button it will only feed one label.

Ok, when you say continuous...do you mean it is a roll of label material that does not have gaps in between? If it has gaps...it is NOT a continuous label and you probably have the driver settings set as continuous feed and not gap as it should be....

When you send a label to the printer (ql420plus) - Prints the label, then a blank, then the label, then a bland until the roll ends.

More than likely you label size is not defined properly. Please make sure you have selected the correct label on the PC side.
