Question about Cycling
Being that I dont know what your background is....I would have to ask. Are you mechanically inclined to rake on this project?

Testimonial: "By "rake" do you mean to work on it myself? Yes, I would prefer to try to repair it myself or with my Husband's help, than to have to buy a whole new timer:) So, if you have any suggestions, I would definitely appreciate it:)"
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: no change in resistance
IF you have the one i have, there is a knob with two connected arrows and a plus and minus sign. turn toward the plus, more resistance, turn toward the minus, less resistance.

You can probably replace them with regular bike break shoes. If it is easy to remove them just take them to a bike shop (not a large chain store) and see if they can help.

If it is just the inner cable and you don't need the housing then Napa Auto parts and others sell a universal cable kit that you can cut to fit and comes with a crimp tool for installing the square end on it.

It looks like the only cable FitnessRepairParts has for Tunturi Ergometers is a speedometer cable for serial numbers greater than 474100.
