If it is an electric furnace, the heat sequencers usually take 45 seconds to possibly 1 1/2 minutes to fully stage on. This depends on how many elements you have. Of course, once they stage on, one or more elements COULD be burnt out.

If its a gas furnace over ten/twelve years old, the thermally activated control should start the blower at approximately 140 degrees. That usually occurs within one or two minutes of main gas opening.

If its a gas furnace that's relatively new, the blower comes on through a circuit board after a call for heat is initiated and could run and blow cold air even if the main gas flame is in flame failure.

How do you burp cooling system on a 1995 grand cherokee 6 cylinder

Turn the engine on and leave it idle with the rad cap off and the heater on full heat and the fan on high, let the engine run until you feel heat from the vents in the inside and then shut off the motor.Wait until the engine cools some and top up the coolant, put the cap on and then you will be good to go.

No heat coming from the heater

the thermostat may be stuck open. Is the car overheating? is the low coolant light on?if you answered no to both questions..let the car cool approx three hours.. start the car and feel the upper radiator hose, you shouldn't feel any pressure or water running through it until it reaches normal temp range, then the hose will become hot.
If the thermostat is stuck in an open loop you will only get a very slight amount of heat and it will also affect your fuel economy. if you checked everything and it checks normal, then i would suspect a bad heatercore.

Check the cooling liquid qty. I feel engine piston is seizing. Replace the engine coolant as per the manufacture's recommendation.

Gas dryer get hot but than goes cold

This sounds like a problem with your fan motor. The dryer is getting too hot and the gas is shutting off until it cools down. That fan keeps the dryer cool by moving the heat to the clothes in the drum.
You can easily check this by feeling for air flow in front of the exhaust vent outside. No air movement = fan problem = heat shut off in 10 minutes. Good luck

How to use my kenmore gas dryer 90 series and the heat fire comes on but does not stay on for too long and it does not dry the clothes. what is wrong.

Hello, This problem is going to be your safety valve coils...basically they get old and over time of heating then cooling develop a short when they heat up...It may appear the gas lights to start but then goes out until the safety valve coils cool back down. Here is a picture of the coils 57d5263.jpgThis The coils are mounted to the gas safety valve, This should solve your problem. Hope this helps, Please feel free to comment again if you have any further questions or concerns. Good Luck! Mike
