I have a 59 Aveo 1.4LT Auto and am only getting 28MPG is ther something that I can do to Improve this?

Raise tire pressure to 36psi, install a high air flow ( low restriction/low micron) air filter, and 5/20 full synthetic motor oil. And if you use a/c, set to normal or economy, not max. Also , most states use winter fuel which reduces fuel mileage 10 -15% on most cars.

Bought this LG unit (LWHD7000HR) summer of 2010 and it worked fine - used very rarely. Did not use heat in winter either. Went to turn it on this summer and it does not cool. Fan operates but compressor...

Unplug the a/c and check the control panel of your a/c. Unscrew the control panel to expose the wires and terminal lugs.Check for lose wires or terminal lugs or defects from the compressor capacitor. If all are OK try adjusting the thermostat switch to make the contacts work. If the capacitor is damage replace it and replace any damage terminal lug. If the compressor still does not work, check the overload and the compressor resistance. If overload is open, replace it and check compressor amperage. If the compressor amperage is high, you have to replace the compressor, vacuum, and recharge freon.

Can i install a time temp. type defrost control instead of the demand defrost type in the above unit? also i see no reason for the fan control board (low to High speed) since the fan motor does not call...

Defrost timer might be more reliable here in NY I set them @ 45minutes..The fan speed is out side tempature (ambient) selected ,low speed, running when its cooler out but you still use cooling.HIGH speed being the default speed.High/low during spring and low all winter. If your new motor is only one speed power it direct from the contactor

New unit, try using in basement. nothing happen, should humidity settings be high or low? Dose humidity level be high? In the bucket whats the plastic cup about? do something alow water to enter bucket?

If you trying to remove humidity, the setting or percentage of humidity to you want to remove should be set low. it's actually the humidity that will be left in the air. In the Hot Summer months, you want lower humidity, as opposed to the Winter months, when you want higher humidity.

"Plastic cup inside the bucket" - that's got me stumped. But, I suspect, it may be a float valve to turn the unit off, once the bucket reaches the full level. The water enters the bucket through a drain tube or hole from inside the dehumidifier, above the bucket.

By best advice, since this is a new unit, that you recently purchased, is read the Owners Manual/User Guide and become thoroughly familiar with the proper operation of your Dehumidifier, as well as how to properly maintain it. As, they aren't maintenance free.

yes ther is but usally this is a warning that there is something wrong ,need to have ac gauges put on it to check to see if a blockage in system or if the high is running to high, could be as simple as a cooling fan not doing its job or low on freon it doesnt take a lot for the ac control head to detect anything out of range and shut down to prevent damage

Left tv unplugged for a few months no tv won't turn on

The first thing to do is try to turn on the set with the remote and then when it doesn't respond go to the set and hold down the MENU and INPUT buttons at the same time until the power LED starts blinking a two sequence code. Like 2 - 4 or 1 - 2. The code will keep blinking for five or six times and stop. The blinking is the microprocessor telling you why the set is not working. We techs call that a self diagnostic function. Which this set has. Just repost your findings.

What are the possible reasons for high fuel consumption?

a low cylinder will cause a reduction in fuel economy. also in the winter months many states oxygenate thier fuel, it helps with emmisions but reduces economy. higher octane fuel usually has less feul economy, drop to the mid grade

Heater shuts off as soon as the room is warm

I take it once the temp is set to 71, and the ambient temp reaches 68 or so, it shuts off, never to come on again?

If that is true the thermostat in the unit is damaged, worn out or in need or replacement, but try a couple tricks.

First, if there are access panels to clean, clean it per the manual, it could be that a dirty filter or air inlet is confusing the thermostat.

Next, unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes, try it again.

Next set the unit on it's highest temp and blower setting, let it rip for 20 minutes, shut it down, unplug and remain unplugged for 5 minutes.

Next set the unit at 71 HIGH MODE.

see if we have a mode switch problem or thermostat if it works on high mode, it is not the thermostat, but I imagine it is, but I am curious as to if it once goes off, it never again comes back on?
