Replace the fill valve. A lot of times the cold water valve builds up with sediment and doesn't let the selenoid seat properly. Make sure the drain hose is not more then 5 inches inside the drain tube. It also a good time if it's been more then 5 years you haven't changed the fill hoses to do it, either way you are going to disconnect them from the back of the washer.

Either the tub has a slow leak in the faucet or water is backing up from the drain, you need a plumber to route out the drain pipe

There is water in the tub the next day or even week after a cycle has finihsed and the tub was totally drained. What's up?

You have a defective water valve. Fairly easy and inexpensive fix. Turn the water off until you have it repaired as it WILL overflow the machine! Mark

Water won't stop coming in

There is a small clear hose that connects to the side of the tub near the bottom, the other end of the hose connects to a switch in the console behind the knob for the load size, this tube either came off while you were working on it or it got full of water. If it came off simply put back on but do so with the tub empty of water, this is very important!!

If the tube was filled with water, drain the tub and blow through the tube and reconnect.

Tub fills with water when shut off. In 2 days the tub overflowed.

I take it you mean ..Water was shut off at valves. It would have to be the sink outlet in this case, The drain hose is too low, water is flowing back from sink waste...Raise out let pipe..Good luck

yes this is more than likely a leaking inlet valve, to confirm turn of water at wall valves

Bath tub water doesn't stay hot

it is because the tub has a temp control valve in it so if you were to put more cold with the hot it will last longer but still won't be all the way hot,, now a days people are suing the manifacture because they are getting burned form the hot water so they put these saftey temp controls in place of the old style 2 or 3 handle faucets,, there fo no more real hot water nothing you can do outside of change to the othere type of faucet 2 or 3 handle tub shower diverter,, that why the water is hot in the sink but not the tub.....

Whirlpool tub, jets come on and won't shut off. No water in tub.

Is it a jetted tub, or a air bath tub with holes or jets in the floor? If it has holes or jets in the floor, the control box is bad and needs replaced. If it is a jetted tub, there may be a water level sensor, if so the sensor may be bad causing the tub to turn on.

Water not heating

It sounds like your inline heater has stopped working. The only way to test it is to drain the water back out, remove the inline heater, and hook power to it to see if it heats up.

If it doesn't you can get one at a discount supply house (like Home Depot or Lowes) for less than $150.

Water

Sounds like the water inlet solenoid ie, where the inlet flexible hose connects to, may be leaking. To prove this, close off the external stop tap(s) after use. Then see next day whether any water has entered the tub. If it has, the solenoid valve needs changeing. tip! if its faulty dont risk 'not changeing it' because it may leak FULL BORE & cause a flood sooner or later
