Why will my gravely zero turn mower blades will not engage?

Likely you have one or more blades not properly installed and have a jammed spindle. Remove and inspect blades. Install one blade and see that it moves. Repeat with next blade, etc.

The blade that was factory installed will not come off my Ryobi p2900 grass shear/shrubber. It is new out of the box yesterday.

The grass shear/shrubbery comes with two blades: the 3 in. grass shear blade for cutting grass and light weeds, and the 6 in. shrubbery blade for trimming hedges. Make sure to use the correct blade for your application.? Remove the battery pack, if installed.? Unscrew the lock knob and remove any attached blade from the tool.? Install the desired blade onto the bar stud and secure it in place using the lock knob
If that does not work return for new replacement . If you bought it HD I would have returned.

How to replace blades on a hand held power devil planer (old version)

Try this.
Loosen the fastening bolts Loosen the three bolts that secure the blade.

2. Remove the blade
Now you can use a screwdriver to begin sliding the blade out of its slot. Grab the blade carefully and slide it out the rest of the way.

3. Repeat the process on the reverse side
Now turn the planer's drum around to the other side and repeat the process on the second blade.

4. Install the new blade
Now you can install the new blades. Notice the blades have a notch on them that aligns with the slot on the drum. Align the notch and slide the blade into place.

Loosely tighten the outer two nuts, but don't tighten them completely yet.

5. Align the blade
Make sure the blade is centered so it won't rub against either side of the planer. Once the blade is centered you can fasten the bolts down completely.

6. Repeat the process on the reverse side
Now rotate the drum and install the new blade on the other side.

How to install blades

Almost all scroll saws use a 5 inch blade. You need to take all the tension off your saw before installing the blade. Make sure you are using the right kind of blade. Either it is a pinned blade or non pinned blade. Some saws can use either. Make sure the teeth on the blade is facing down toward your saw table. Clamp the blade into the blade clamps and then add the tension. You should be ready to go now

Blade wont tighten

Here are some directions on installing the blade to ensure the proper procedure has been followed when installing.
  1. Set the blade orbit selector lever to position III.
  2. Fit the supplied screwdriver into the top plunger hole and loosen the internal blade securing screw about 3 to 4 turns counterclockwise.
  3. Insert the blade into blade plunger at a 90° angle to the cutting direction. With a slight upward pressure, turn the blade teeth forward (direction of cut) and guide the back of the blade into the groove in the center of blade roller guide.
  4. Pull gently down on the blade to seat the blade tabs in the plunger.
  5. With the blade in the proper position, securely tighten the blade screw by turning the screwdriver clockwise.
I hope this helps. Please rate on how helpful the answer was. Good Luck and have a great weekend.

On the top of the Makita 4304T is a knob, (Top/Front)
This is the blade Installing Lever.

Viewing the jigsaw in the direction you would use it, the Installing Lever is turned towards the Right. Keeping it turned, you then install the jigsaw blade. Once you have the blade up in the Blade Holder, gently release the Installing Lever.
