Question about Heating & Cooling

Open Question

I have a honeywell timer ST9400C and honey well wireless thermostat dt92e. There are 3 programmable times and I have checked in the installer mode on the ST9400C timer that it is programed for 3 times not 2. However the heating will not come on for the 3rd time and I cannot make the boiler come on via override, plus 1 hour or continuous switch even thought lights are Green on the time and relay box indicating it is working, but it does come on for first two times. It used to work until I changed the times for the heating shortly after we moved in. Any ideas? The boiler model is Worcester green star wallhung gas fired condensing boiler

Sounds like a control panel.Detatch the block connector that serves the gas valve, see if you have power on the bare pins.both left and right pins should measure mains voltage. If you have no power at the pins its the pcb control board.Replace the board.

SOURCE: alpha boiler - wireless programmer failing

it sounds like the problem may be in the boiler and not the controller itself. Do you kno which is are the two wores that are the r-w for the thermostat take and purt them together and see if the boiler stays on or shuts off like it does with the thermostat. If it does then replace the reciever. If it doesn't then you have another problem. Good Luck

How old are the batteries? You may want to replace them to see if it helps. If it doesn't then get a new thermostat. Nothing inside the AC/Heater will cause that.

I have installed a Honeywell DT92E which keeps turning off the boiler before room temperature is reached

Hello David, I don't know if you installed this thermostsat or had someone else to install it. If you don't have the manual for your DT92E thermostat, I found a PDF file online that coveres both DT92A and DT92A. If you scoll down the PDF file after opening it, towards the bottom, you will see how to adjust the boiler timing. Maybe the timing is still in default mode and needs to be adjusted for a longer burn time? Hope this helps out.

How do I remove a Honeywell DT92E Thermostat from the wall mount ?

turn off power to thermostat. should be a small flat head screw located on the bottom of the unit. release screw and lift face from the bottom, out and up. you will then need to identify wiring before removal of back plate unless the wiring is redundant.
