I have a Clarion 501NX. The Navigation will not work. Was a micro chip supposed to come with it. I looked in the door and no chip was inserted in it. The unit came with a motorhome that I just bought

If your Clarion VX603AU is stuck on the start-up screen, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue:

1. Perform a hard reset: Try disconnecting the power to the unit by removing the fuse or unplugging the unit for a few minutes. This can sometimes reset the system and get it past the start-up screen.
2. Remove the navigation SD card: If the unit was working fine before you installed the wrong file on the navigation SD card, try removing the card and see if the unit starts up. If it does, replace the card with the correct file and try again.
3. Try a firmware update: Go to the Clarion website and download the latest firmware update for your unit. Follow the instructions to install the update on the unit. This may fix any software issues that are causing the start-up screen to freeze.
4. Contact Clarion support: If none of the above steps work, contact Clarion support for further assistance. They may be able to help you diagnose the issue and suggest a solution.

It appears this model may only be for the Japanese Market. Clarion.com don't have a manual for it. Crooooober says is comes direct from Japan.

Yes there is something missing! The software for navigation is missing.
Look at the following link, Clarion wants you to buy en optional extra device to use the navigation option.

I think the previous owner took it, or it was never there.

I'm on my third NX501 (could have been the fourth if not for working directly with Clarion).
The SD Card corruption causes both loss of Navigation and intermittent Sirius start up (it'll never acquire signal).
Your unit needs to use the exact micro sd card it came with forever (it has a permanent serial number).
You have two choices:
1. Get Crutchfield to replace the unit
2. Call Clarion (I suggest this rather than ripping your dash apart over and over).

Ben will have you send your microsd and rebuild it for you and return it (likely with the firmware upgrade that addresses this issues on another microsd that can also be found here: http://clarion.com/ca/en/support/navigation_updates/NX501Fupdate/index.html).
While you're at it, update the Bluetooth firmware too: http://www.clarion.com/us/en/support/software/NX501/index.html
Once you get the card returned (THIS IS HUGELY IMPORTANT - EVERYONE WITH A Clarion NX501 SHOULD DO THIS!!!), back it up using Naviextras toolbox (the program clarion uses for map updates). You can get it here: https://clarion.naviextras.com/shop/portal/downloads
Once you follow these steps, barring your micosd physically or logically self destructing, you'll have an NX501 that's nearly problem free and backed up just in case that unfortunate corruption reoccurs.

Of Note: Ensure you insert the microsd card with the contacts facing up and do not force anything.

I'm extremely confident this will make a world of difference for you (and anyone suffering the microsd corruption of the Clarion NX501).

I might be able to help you with this. The Addzest Navigation system you have is similar to the Clarion NAX9500E. I have some bits off an Addzest NVA9400F and I bought a second-hand Clarion NAX9500E sat nav system. I have pdf's of the Clarion system that would enable you to get yours running.
I was able to get my Addzest system running but it is all in Japanese and I don't think you can change the language unless you know more than me. I hit the reset button but still in Japanes.
That's why I got the Clarion system instead and salvaged some of the Addzest leads.
My email is [email protected] if you want me to email you the user and wiring intructions for the similar Clarion Navigation unit.
It is a pitty that I wasn't able to use the Addzest navigation system but hopefully I can still use the
7" monitor.

If you still have the Addzest equipment I was wondering if you would sell me the lead that connects the 7" monitor to the Navigation sytems as I wanted to use that it as a rear monitor.

Hope to hear from you on what you decide as I haven't had much luck finding a lead for my monitor as the Clarion one is the same size but different pin configeration

i need help. i insert my lexar 1gb micro sd memory card into my phone and my phone doesnt show that there is a memory card inserted and i have no idea how to work it on my phone. my phone is a samsung blast.
