This is an RV frig correct? It SHOULD work either/or. AC or DC. If your plugged into AC then often the frig will work with that alone. DC is for when you have no AC so you can power your appliances of the battery. Maybe you have a converter (AC to DC which most RV's do) that somehow is not getting the DC to the frig.
Something, a component, in the laptop may have fried the charger. I don't know for sure. You would have to trace the circuit with a multimeter to locate the bad power component.
Hello, Is the battery in the camera or in the charger ?? Don't quite understand the question. You wrote "received correct wall charger AC/DC ?" was that a question concerning the new charger ? it sounds like your not quite sure about the charger. Best Regards, Russell
Im very sorry to hear that, please follow these simple steps for you to be able to isolate the exact problem.
1. Removed the battery.
2. Connect the laptop directly to the power outlet without using the battery just for the meantime.
3. Turn on the laptop. If the laptop is able to power on, that means that the AC adapter is working fine as well as the DC port. If the laptop is not able to turn on, it maybe the AC adapter itself or the DC port.
4. Try to use another AC adapter if possible, make sure that that AC adapter is working fine. If the laptop is still not turning on, the problem is with the DC port itself. In that case, you will need to replaced the Motherboard itself.

Welcome to Fixya! If the battery light is blinking red, that indicates low power, there's a possibility that the problem is with the AC adapter, or the battery or maybe the DC port itself, please follow these simple steps for you to be able to isolate the exact problem.

If your computer won't charge the battery, but the battery charges fine in another computer, and you are sure that the charger is good, then your problem is probably the DC power jack. If you wiggle the end of the power cord where it attaches to you laptop, and it starts charging properly, then the DC power jack is broken.
I would check on the inside for a disconnected wire or loose connection at the Dc imput if it still works on ac. You can most likely get a service manual at http://www.servicemanuals.net/ if the wires are intact on the DC imput and the jack itself fits secure to the adapter. Hope this helps
