Tip

Removing scratches from CD/DVD discs.

CD jumps all over the place? DVD film stops playing and picture breaks up or freezes then goes to another scene? Just bought a second hand disc and it does that? Then you might have got a scratch or more on the disc. Well now you don't have to throw them in the bin and buy a new one. And it won't cost a penny to fix them!!!! Unless you have false teeth!!

It's easy to fix them too. First look at the underside of the disc, remember the label side doesn't play anything. You might need to catch it in the light to show any marks. If you can see marks and they won't come off with the cleaning sprays you can get for discs, it's a scratch!
To remove them get a tube of TOOTHPASTE - yes that's what I said! And apply a small amount to the discs where any scratches are. Then with a toothbrush, soft bristle type, gently work the paste on the disc. This should remove the mark. Rinse with cold water and dry the disc off with a paper cloth. If you look at it again catching the light, the disc should show no sign of the mark, but you will see like a smudge in the polished surface. This will not affect the playing of the CD or DVD. If you still can see a scratch repeat the process till it goes.
Once finished clean the disc with a spray or the JML disc cleaner, to remove any trace of the cleaning process.

This process will only remove surface scratches from the plastic coat of the disc, anything deeper and the disc is no good.
If the disc has a paper label (IE home made) you will have to ensure that the label doesn't get wet, or you might have to replace the label.

I have cleaned many discs this way and so far they still all play wonderful.
I don't know if you can do this with Blue-Ray discs, as I don't have one yet.

Drum turns but sounds like a small metal object, possibly a screw, banging around inside . Continued to use and now sound is much louder and sounds like a bigger object.

DRYER MAKES NOISES.

The pulleys or rollers. Check for cracks, dryness, or damage and not engaging drum properly. Sometimes u can use high density gear grease to re oil/grease them.

The bearings TEST by moving drum by hand u may be able to feel loose or rough movement. And listen to sounds when turning it.

The belt loose or worn can make funny noises

The glides on drum worn and making metal to metal contact.

CHECK FOR LOOSE BELLOES inside the drum

Sometimes an item can get stuck inbetween the drum and the housing and scrape and grind making funny noises, things like coins, bra wire, nails, hair pins, etc sometimes u can just remove the cabinet and observe by turning the drum by hand or looking for scratch or scrape marks on housing.

Scratch on Gold Contact

You can replace the contacts, but a light scratch would not cause a lens communication error. Using your fingernail, push all the contact pins in the mirror box in and out 5-6 times to break any corrossion between the pins and their ciruit board

Haier hlp23e washer makes a rattling sound during spin that almost sounds like coins being slapped by an impeller. How do I fix?

Here's what I did that seemed to fix it. You know that plastic attachment you screwed onto the bottom? I'm pretty sure the noise is made by the bottom of the machine spinning against it. I thought the noise sounded sort of plastic-y, so I removed the bottom and sure enough, there were circular scratch marks on it. I haven't heard that annoying rattling yet.

UE Error, maching will not spin the clothes dry. Tried all regular methods for resetting, moving around the load in the machine etc. Nothing works

Remove the front cover at the bottom of the washer. Your drain hose and/or drain may be filled with sediment. I just cleaned mine and it fixed my no spin problem......also directions for doing so are in your manual. I used a large dog bowl to catch the water. If no water comes out of the drain hose after you unscrew the cap, squeeze it and see if gook comes out. Then remove the other cap (use a coin) and pull it out. Mine had years of dog hair, sand, coins in it. After I cleaned them, replaced them, spinning returned.

This interchangeable tweezers device (pat. pending) will do wonders for the way you feel about yourself. When you follow these simple instructions, Emjoi Beauty Forever will rid you of unwanted hair for the long haul! You can decide whether to use the coil-tweezers or the gold-plated tweezers based on these broad criteria:
The coil-tweezers enable you to clean out at a time a multiple number of unwanted hair (most notably, at the bikini line and some facial hair).
The gold-plated tweezers are intended to remove individual unwanted hair (like those on the eyebrow or on the breasts).
To use Emjoi Beauty Forever efficiently, please read carefully the enclosed Instruction Manual and pay a special attention to the following:
Clasp the unwanted hair with the Emjoi Beauty Forever's coil tweezers or gold-plated tweezers. At the same time, press the handle button for 15-20 seconds. The indicator light on the inside panel (near the adapter outlet) lights more brightly and will remain so during the application.
Slide the hair out gently in the direction it grows. If the hair doesn't slide out easily (some hair is more stubborn than other), gently tweeze it out. Even the coarsest hair is removed with a lasting effect by the Emjoi Beauty Forever's unique epilation treatment.
These helpful tips will assure extra-effective epilation!
The shorter the hair, the better the results. Preferably, hair should be no longer than 2-3 mm (1/10 in.)
Your skin should be completely clean before treatment.
To make skin more supple and relaxed, wash with warm water and gently massage.
Make sure no radios, TVs, or cordless phones are operating during treatment since they may interfere with RF transmission.
If a hair remains after 3-4 consecutive treatments, tweeze it. It has been sufficiently treated. There are some hair roots that need more treatments, particularly those that are dark and thick, or near throat, chin, lips, thighs and bikini lines.

My washer has an error code ld and it wont start or turn off i have to unplug it to turn it off now its stuck on on how do i fix it

"ld" stands for long drain. check the water pump for any obstructed items like coins, hair pins or clothing. the water pump is located in the bottom of machine in right back of stator. remove hoses and clean. also check the air dome located in bottom of basket.
