Not sure which key one presses, but you may be able to boot to "Safe Mode" and get some info there. If while doing this, the screen remains black, you might need a new screen. If the screen DOES light up, and the password can't be found (will tell you a secret about passwords if you email me back) you might have to re-install the operating system. But I wouldn't re-install the system if the screen doesn't light.

Forgot my password to enter laptop

Give this a try, just in case: When you turn on the Netbook, it starts, usually, with a black screen booting the Bios and then it starts the Windows OS. During the black screen, it probably says to press - F2, F8 or some other key combinations to get into "setup" mode. See if there is a "disable password..." in the menu item of you setup mode...and disable it. Just try...let me know if this works...Thnx

Problem with my asus password

restart your computer and keep hitting "F8" over and over and over until a black screen comes up with a list of options of how to start windows. pick the one that says "safe mode with networking" go to control panel, then user accounts, then delete the password, then restart your computer and see if everything goes back to normal. If so, then go back to user accounts and make a new password and then restart, and see if everything works guess is that it will. Sometimes it's just weird that way...let me know what happens
