If it is a micro screen style you don't remove the blades. Remove screen and brush the blades with shaver brush then spray with shaving lube.

How do i clean the blades. I don't know how to unfasten them so i can clean them

The Arcitec series shavers have a very poor design and shaver heads can not be disassembled like the older model that you had. The blades can not be removed from the assembly that contains them. The only way to clean them is to run them under hot water or rense them in an alcohol solution. Unfortunately, this method still leaves much to be desired.
Many users of the Arcitec models report having to change the heads twice as often because of this.

Complains can be made to Norelco customer service at 1-800-243-3050

If replacements are needed, you will find then at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

How do you get the rotary heads off the shaver to clean or change them?

The blades can not be individually removed on the Arcitec model shavers. Instead, you must replace the entire head assembly. It simply pulls straight off. See diagram at the link below

http://shaveroutlet.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/f/i/file_34_1.jpg

This is a very poor design because you can not remove the individual blades for thorough cleaning. This makes replacement necessary more frequently than older Norelco shavers. If you need replacements, you will find them at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

It does nto cut like it use to. The blade is only 6 months old Whats the best way to clean it. It seem to be cutting with only 1 of the triple head

The Arcitec shavers have a poor design which makes it difficult to clean well. The blades can not be removed from their combs, therefore, the only way to clean this is by running them in a cleaning solution. Norelco makes a shaver cleaned that can be used for this. It is available from shaveroutlet.com at the link below. Rubbing alcohol can also be used.

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-accessories/norelco-hq200-smart-touch-jet-clean-solution-p-258.html

Simply fill a container about 1 inch deep with the cleaner and then stick the shaver head down into the liquid with it running. Run for several seconds, remove and repeat several times.

Note that if your shaver is badly clogged, this still may not work that well due to the poor design of the shaver heads. If you require replacement, you will also find them at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

I've purchased new blades twice for a razor that is less than a year old. the blades get clogged (nasty) and won't wash out with warm water. how can i clean these blades?

This is a major problem with Arcitec shavers. You and thousands of other have found out too late that the blades can not be removed for manual cleaning. Unfortunately, there is no good solution. You can try running the shaver under hot wateror running the shaver with the heads dipped in rubbing alcol. You can also try picking out the 'gunk' with a toothpick. You will probably only find these to provide minimal results.

If you find that you still must replace the heads, you will fin tham at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

I've purchased new blades for my Arctic. they did fine until they got clogged. what can i do to clean my blades? this IS a problem. if i can't find a solution i can't purchase norelco again. please...

It's a hack, but you can use needle nose plyers to let you pry open those razor blade heads to clean the blades inside the heads. My Arcitec shaver stopped working after being clogged, rather than pay $50 for new blades, I just opened it up, took out the blades and cleaned it with an old toothbrush and soap.

Can not get blades out of head to clean blades & foils

The blades can not be removed from the head assembly on Arcitec models. This is the way they were designed from the manufacturer.
The only way to clean them is to rinse them with HOT water or soak them in mild liquid like rubbing alcohol.

If that doesn'tget them clean, you will need to replace them. You will fin replacements at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

I have a Norelco model 7315 razor that I purchased in October 2009. In the last five weeks, in spite of being cleaned regularly, it developed a very unpleasant must odor that seems to emanate from the body...

It is very unlikely that the smell is coming from the body of the shaver. Have you completely removed the heads and thoroughly cleaned them individually with alcohol or shaver cleaner? If you are simply rinsing the blades under the faucet and have not removed them and thoroughly cleaned them, this is almost certainly the problem. The smell is decomposing hair and oils from your skin.

You may want to consider using a shaver cleaning product like the ones linked below from shaveroutlet.com

Cleaning the blades of my Electric razor

The smell that you are noticing is a mixture of decomposing skin particles, skin oil and hair. This is because you are not getting the blades clean enough.
Philips (Norelco) has been introducing all of their shaver with the ability to clean them with water, however, this is not a very good way to clean them because the oil in your skin that collects on the blades does not easily clean out with water. If you must clean with water, make sure the water is as hot as will come out of your faucet. A better way to clean it is with rubbing alcohol because it works better and will help kill germs which may cause smell.
Of course, the best way to clean the shaver heads is to remove them individually and brush them out thoroughly. However, Philips made it impossible to remove the blades on the Arcitec models. The Arcitec modelsare simply designed very poorly for cleaning.

If you are unable to thoroughly clean the heads, you may elect to replace them. It is suggested that they be changed every 12 months. You will find replacement heads at shaveroutlet.com. See link below
