If the TV has sound using an Xbox, then the problem is not with the TV, otherwise you would have no sound no matter what you hooked up to the TV. You may have to adjust the TV menu controls that involve receiving a TV signal that provides both sound and picture.

I have plugged my sons xbox into my tv andthre is no sound on his game .

Did you plug in both an audio and video cable? If you used an HDMI, cable, check that the input port you're using on the TV is set for digital sound and that is the correct format. Also check the setup on the xbox to see what format the audio output is set for.

Hook up xbox 360 tv

What kind of receiver? Do you have anything else like DVD player going thru receiver? My receiver has 3 hdmi in and 1 out (to tv) so all those equipment would just go to "hdmi" on tv.
Another way to do it is put your tv on exterior audio... for all sound to go thru your receiver.

How to make it connect to an xbox 360

Easy, You plug either the HDMI cable into one of the HDMI inputs and then plug it into the XBOX 360. If you are using either the component or composite cables then plug them into the proper color coded input.

I have succesfully connected my dynex 32" lcd hdtv 720p 60hz to my rogers digital box and my xbox but i only have room to connect my audio cables for my surround sound speakers to my tv cables there is no...

What cables are you using for the XBOX and the digital box? What surround sound system are you using (what receiver)? Which model of Dynex 32" TV do you have? Looking at the DX-L32-10A, I can connect both devices to the TV and then the audio out to the surround sound system.

If HDMI, then that will carry the audio to the TV and then you would need an audio cable from the audio out on the TV to the surround sound speakers. Similarly, if you use component video and the audio cable combination, there are 2 component video jacks and 3 audio-in jacks on the rear of the TV. Then connect another cable from the audio out of the TV to the surround sound system. (This TV has one audio out and a headphone jack.)

If you previously had the audio going from the Rogers digital box directly to the surround sound system, you need to reroute things unless there are two or more sets of audio in jacks on the surround sound system. Some surround sound system can take several HDMI in cables and then route it to the TV on a HDMI out port.

Without more information, I can't be sure of the best option for your cables.

I hope this gets you started and please provide more information for additional suggestions.

Where to plug in the home theater on the tv?

If you REALLY want to plug your tv into your home theater system there should be rca (red and white) jacks on the back of the tv that say "audio out" or "speaker out" thats your tv's audio output. which is where you would plug in the TV to your home theater system.

But there's really no reason to do this and its not the most desirable way to set u a home theater. Sound doesnt come from your tv, and therefore your tv shouldnt be plugged into speaker (unless you have old school wal cable) sound comes from your cable box, DVD player, VHS, Xbox, Ps3 etc. the sound comes from your source, and these sources should be hooked up directly you your home theater reciever

No picture only sound with the xbox system

This definately means Audio/Video cables were hooked up incorrectly.... New televisions are getting more and more complicated..... . make sure that the switch on the cable is set for HDTV... experiment a little... have the tv, and the xbox both on while you are doing this,,, while having someone watch the tv to check everything out. I had this same problem with figuring the hook-up on a newer tv. On my tv... The channel i play games on is : Composite.... on the back of my tv... where i can hook the audio/video cables up to... it also has a little white border around a certain set of plug-ins which says Composite right above it... all of the cables plug in to that one, except the yellow one.... If this does not work, just let me know and i will figure out a different solution... but im 99% sure this will work. Let me know if there are any other questions. Please rate this answer :)

Make sure all the tv picture and audio cables are plugged in fully, if not fully plugged in, the cables can not work at all. If that doesn't work, consider sending it to microsoft or get new cables.
