Question about HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-one - Multifunction Printer /
When running the self test Diagnostic Page, black ink in spots running down the left side of paper. Yellow is green & light green. No Light Cyan or Cyan. Light Magenta & Magenta are blue and white lines.
Is it under warranty, are you re-filling the cartridges? If yes to first and no to the other two, send it back under warranty. If you use copy cartridges or refill old ones the warranty is vod. This means you need to replace the printer. To be honest, you'd be better off buying an Epson all in one. Even the wireless model start @ sound 40gbp and you can buy good copy cartridges from choicestationery.com

I didn't find a fix. I went to Best Buy and they said it would cost more than it was worth to fix. So I bought a new one. Thanks, mittenshadow

Press the 'Menu' button on the printer's control panel. Use the arrow buttons to highlight 'Ink Levels' then press the 'Ok' button to view the cartridge's ink levels.
Open the printer's front cover to replace the color ink cartridge if it shows a low ink level. Wait for the ink cartridges to stop moving.
Press the tab on the front of the color ink cartridge and lift the cartridge out of the printer. Remove the wrappings from the new cartridge and install it in the printer until the front tab clicks.
Clean the print head by pressing the printer's 'Menu' button, then selecting 'Clean Printhead' and press 'Ok.' Press the 'Ok' button again to start the printer's print head cleaning process.
Run the print head cleaning three times; if red still will not print, replace the printer's print head. Remove both print cartridges by pressing on the tabs while you lift each one out of the printer.
Press the button in the upper-left corner of the assembly and remove the print head. Unpack the new print head, remembering to remove the orange cap, and press it into the assembly until it clicks into place. Reinstall the print cartridges until they snap into place as well.
