Wow, MT 500's? I'll check with my tech. Those are really old (like me) at this point in the electronics world. How many and could you use a six bank if I cannot locate individual chargers?

I located chargers on ebay. I now am the proud owner of 2 rapid chargers as well as 2 standard chargers. ( I had to purchase a lot of 5 of the standard chargers. Now I could resell 3 of the 5 and will keep 2 and 2)

Good job! Thanks for posting! My tech has recycled all he had and suggested Ham Fairs. We have antennas, etc. I'll look to see what other old things we may have. After 20 years, we tend to throw things away.

Where can I buy a new charger for a Motorola T7100 2 way radio?

There are two pieces, don't know if you need both:
Wall adapter
Drop-In Tray

This is the same charger as the Motorola XTN and CP100 radios. Your local Motorola dealer may be able to assist you, if you were to mention these models.

And seeing you are needing a charger, you might also check your rechargeable batteries age. The life expectancy of this style battery is 18-24 months. On the battery label you will find a 4 digit date code. The first two numbers are the year, the next two are the week of the year. Ex: 1107 would be 2011 the 7th week.

And as you are likely aware, this radio will also accommodate 4 AA batteries. (The AA batteries cannot be charged using the charger, only the Motorola rechargeable NiMH batteries are compatible with the charger.)

Do they have ac chargers for motorola 7100 2 way radios

Yes, but only if you are using the Motorola rechargable NiMH battery pack. You can use the wall charger OR combo wall charger and drop-in tray for the CP100/XTN style radios. Part numbers NNTN4019 and NNTN4077.

Best regards.

My charger for my Motorola T6510 is not charging. The charger is getting power.

Check your battery contacts, both on the radio and the charger. Clean with a pencil eraser if needed. It is possible you are not getting good contact. If both radios are not getting charged in a dual well charger, you may have a problem with either the wall adapter or the base. (Assuming your batteries are good.) Wall adapters burn out over time, somewhat like a light bulb.

Replacements are available at the Motorola online store. This kit contains a pair of new batteries and a complete charger.

Best regards.
