This has to have thread sensors, other wise it would run through the entire embroidery process even if there were no thread at all. Check the thread sensor or sensors, they may have malfunctioned, be misaligned, need cleaning, or be blocked by something.

SOURCE: thread knotting around bobbin case

hello, I had the exact same problem and could not find the solution until i took my machine to my sewing sensei and i solved my tedious problem. It was actually not a tension problem at all but a threading problem. Make sure you have threaded your bobbin correctly and that when you pull on the bobbin thread that the bobbin turns the right way. (mine must spin anti clockwise to work)  Make sure that when you pull up the bobbin thread using the needle that it is not over the feed dogs connective bar but under it. A big problem when the thread gets caught around the bobbin case wheel is that the thread is looped around the feed dogs once and that causes the thread to get caught around the bobbin wheel. In conclusion, thread the bobbin correctly and read over your instruction book before spending the money to get it fixe in s shop.

SOURCE: BOBBIN PROBLEM

Firstly check that you have the correct bobbin for your machine, there are many bobbins that will fit in the bobbin case and sew ok, but the hole in the centre is what matters. If you do not have an original try putting the bobbin on the winder spindle with a small piece of paper inside the centre of the bobbin so it is tight on the shaft.
If that does not work it usually means the winder rubber on the bottom of the cover is worn or stuck, this part often looks like a large O Ring.

SOURCE: Thread bunches up in the bobbin area and needle

Check to see if the thread coming off the spool is tangling on the spool pin or getting caught in the crack on the spool top where the thread originally comes off spool. Make sure the spool pin is pushed all the way to the right to secure your thread and then back it off slightly so the thread pulls evenly off the spool. Whenever your bobbin thread gets bunched it is usually something is wrong with the threading of the UPPER thread and vice versa. Let me know if this solves your problem.

SOURCE: The top thread keeps breaking. The thread pulls

try a tension a 3 to 5 on the top tension
try changing to a needle or if it's a new needle make sure the flat side of the needle faces the back of the machine and pushed all the way up into the needle holder
make sure the needle & thread are correct for each other, if the needle is to thin or to heavy for the fabric it will not work

My brother pe 770 keeps stopping and check and rethread upper thread

check to make sure the top thread is coming off the thread spool ok, sometimes the thread can get caught on the notch that's on the thread spool. also make sure it's moving smoothly thru the top tension area, sometimes it good to use some unwaxed dental floss and use it between the tension disc, always remember where the tension dial was set.

Constant problems with tension and the thread breaking from the top threader

check your thread spool for a snag on the plastic. Sometimes thread will catch on that "thread keeper" and once it catches and jerks free, it can cause the spool to spin the other way thus winding the thread on the spool pin.

Another thing to check is to make SURE that when you thread the upper thread that the pressure foot is UP. While you have the pressure foot open, run a piece of unwaxed dental thread through your tension discs.

Also make sure that your needle is large enough for your thread. To test this take another needle of the same size as the one in the machine and clip a piece of thread about 6 inches long. Thread the needle ... grasp the tread by both ends... tip the thread side to side... if the needle doesn't move well, your needle is too small. If it moves well but not too loose...it fine.

How to thread the machine

Hello

Place spool of thread on the spool pin, found inside the carrying handle on the top right side of the machine facing the back.

Lead thread through the upper thread guide, located just beyond the machine's handle.

Lead thread through the second upper thread guide, found a few spaces to the left of the first upper thread guide mentioned in Step 2.

Bring thread around the second upper thread guide down into the thread guide.

Lead thread toward you down through the tension discs.

Continue to pull thread down through the ****. Forming a "U" shape, bring thread back up the left side of the guide, catching the check spring as the thread moves back up through the guide on the left side.

Bring thread up to the take-up lever and insert thread through the eye of the lever in a right-to-left motion.

Lead thread downwards, slipping it down through the horizontal thread guide.

Guide thread through the wire thread guide that is attached to the needle clamp.

Insert thread through needle from front to back, pulling thread four to six inches to create a thread extension. The machine is now threaded.

The stitch is to tight can't get it even

Most likely the upper tension dial is too high. Turn it to 4 and try pulling the thread through the needle and see if it moves easier than before. If not turn it to 3. This should be a good tension on your upper thread so it won't make the stitch so tight. Also, be sure that the thread spool holder isn't too tight against your spool of thread. Let me know if this works.

Sewing machine needle not moving up and down

Hi there,

Well there are many things to check (causes) -
Upper thread has run out. Presser foot is up.
Bobbin winder shaft was left in winding position.
Buttonhole lever was not lowered when machine was placed in buttonhole mode.
Anyway you may try the steps below to correct this (Solution) -
Replace empty spool and thread machine.
Lower presser foot.
Move bobbin winder shaft back fully to left.
Lower buttonhole lever.

Good Luck!!

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Singer 750 how to rewind the bobbing?

1. Push in indent (illustration 1) on hand wheel disc. This will stop the needle from moving.
2. Place spool of thread on spool pin.
3. Slide spool pin holder/cap (illustration 2) firmly over rim of spool to prevent thread from tangling.

4. Lead thread passing it first through the lower slot of the thread guide. Next through the upper slot, leading the thread to the right and around (illustration 3).
5. Wind thread clockwise around front of bobbin winder tension disc (illustration 4).
7. Pass thread end, from inside, through small hole in rim of bobbin.
8. Holding thread end, step on speed controller to run machine until desired amount of thread is wound. (Winding stops automatically once bobbin is full.)
9. Cut thread; push bobbin to the left and remove it from bobbin winder pin.
10. Trim thread end from top of bobbin.
11. Press the bobbin winding indent on hand wheel to its original position. If necessary, turn hand wheel to engage needle movement.

BabyLock Proline upper looper thread keeps breaking

I ended up switching the spools of thread around. Apparently, even though I had purchased good quality threads, one of the spools was wound in a way that made the thread loop and twist around. So I put the offending spool of thread through one of the needles and put the needle thread on the upper looper. That seems to be working. By the way, BabyLoc was very unhelpful dealing with this problem.  Thank you!

Upper thread wraps around bobbin mechanism, while sewing

IT PROBABLY IS THREADED INCORRECTLY. GO SLOWLY BY THE DIAPHRAGM AND MAKE SURE IT IS THREADED CORRECTLY. ALSO MAKE SURE SPOOL PIN HOLDERS ARE IN PLACE THAT HELPS TO GUIDE THE THREAD CORRECTLY.
