My students are always surprised when I tell them that obese people have stronger bones. The only problem is that this advantage is offset by the fact that joints simply cannot hold up to extra weight. Extra weight is very hard on the joints. In fact, for every pound you take off your body, it works out to two pounds off your knees.

One of the most interesting things to do is to watch people. When people are heavy, their knees give out.

Really, Amy? None of the four numbers you cite in your question changes the answer, which you already know is YES, your health is at risk. Can you walk a mile without problems? Have you had your blood sugar checked? At 5'3", obesity starts at 169# with a BMI of 30. You're way past that. I'm not trying to be mean, just realistic. A year ago I found myself at your weight and I knew I was in trouble if I didn't do something. My weight now is in the 130s and I expect to lose another 15#. It can be done - you just have to really want it. You have one number in your favor - 28. Start now, it'll be easier at your age than it was for me. And your skin is still resilient so you won't have to deal with sag. You'll feel better and will live more comfortably. And you'll walk that mile with a 78 blood sugar level.

How much should I weigh if I am 74 pounds and 56 inches

According to the BMI Chart you are underweight. Your BMI is 16.5. A healthy BMI is 20-22 or at your height 95-100 pounds.

This should not be taken as medical advice but only a general guide. Person who are athletic or weightlifters may have different results.

The BMI is an attempt to quantify the amount of tissue mass (muscle, fat, and bone) in an individual, and then categorize that person as underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obese based on that value. However, there is some debate about where on the BMI scale the dividing lines between categories should be placed.[2] Commonly accepted BMI ranges are underweight: under 18.5, normal weight: 18.5 to 25, overweight: 25 to 30, obese: over 30.

Im 68 bp is 122/92 and pulse 82.is this heathly

The best answer here is, "It depends..." - There are numerous factors which could affect whether this is good or bad, and that's why you probably hear "Ask your doctor" about 90% of the time. I'm about 60 years old, and it wouldn't be bad for ME but only a medical professional can weigh all the other variables to determine if it would be good for YOU. I know, money is tight, but don't risk your health on generalized answers. Best wishes - Mark

Just eat sensibly. Avoid processed foods, like ready meals, canned goods and fast food.
Only eat fresh vegetables and fresh meat and fish. There are plenty of great easy recipes on the internet so it's not difficult.
Never drink soda or energy drinks.
If you do you'll stay healthy and your BMI will balance out all by it's self.
