SOURCE: Hi, I have a Honeywell Thermostat

if you thermostat doesnt use batteries and it has no power, that means there is a problem with the air conditioing system itself. 90% of the time it is a safety switch such as a float switch (drainage problem), which cuts the power to the system to prevent damage to your house from condensate water leakage or just further damage to the system itself. Call the a/c guys, this is going to require expertise.

SOURCE: The wall mounted thermostat in a condominium unit

i think you may have a fan/control board problem, if the thermostat turns on the fan, and you dont touch it, then the fan stops in a short time...
plus the fan is connected to a control board, like i said those thermostats hardly go bad...

The W terminal is used for heating and goes to a small electric valve in the water line to your baseboard. The Y terminal is for a cooling system. The T822 is wired wrong and is not working. The wiring between R and W is corect for a heating only application. The R terminal is the power source.

How do I remove a Honeywell DT92E Thermostat from the wall mount ?

turn off power to thermostat. should be a small flat head screw located on the bottom of the unit. release screw and lift face from the bottom, out and up. you will then need to identify wiring before removal of back plate unless the wiring is redundant.

If this is an old on/off thermostat it's probably bad. If it is a programmable thermostat, it may have a jumper to set the on/off delay to 2 min or 5 min. Also, if the thermostat is mounted on an outside wall this can happen.

yep the wires will hook up to the same designations, just write down what color was connected where. You will need to set the thermostat up for your particular situation...gas, electric, heat pump, ect. The installation maunel is very clear on this aspect so you should not have a problem.
