Question about Pool & Spa
I have an emerson 1563 spa motor, fitted the hottub today and found that the circulation pump worked but slow, and slow;y stopped and got very hot. on stripping the pump down found the impellor had some mastic stuck in it, does anyone know if it will be ok once it cools down?
Try clearing the debris, and the impeller should rotate about a full turn with a twist of your wrist. if it still doesn't run properly STOP.
the pump might need to be serviced by a pro, i don't recommend servicing these as the are fragile to say the least and expensive to replace . let a pro do it !
give me a vote if'n I was of help.I love praise, it's the fuel that keeps me fix'n yer stuff.. Jay

Is this pump for a 'in ground' body of water or for a fiberglass spa?
Someone MUST make something similar.
If yours is in ground you have many options based upon your filter media and the size of the suction and discharge lines.
If you can give me more information, I can more than lilely answer your question.
