Is Chewing Gum Bad for your Teeth?
Chewing Gum is a very popular habit. Some people use it as a way of eating less, some use it as a teeth cleaning method after meals and some just like it.
But the question often asked is whether chewing gum helps or harms your teeth.
Professionals and dieticans all weigh-in with their opinions about the effects of chewing gum.
Here are some of the arguments:
Some studies show that gum stimulates the production of saliva which naturally washes the teeth, neutralizing acid which is the cause of cavaties.
Most chewing gums contain a sweetner of some kind. These can cause damage to the teeth, especially if you chew them often.
Artificially sweeteened chewing gum definately has a less damaging effect on teeth.
If you chew gum that is sweetened with sugar, the negative effects are cancelled out if you keep the gum in your mouth for a longer period of time.
In conclusion, opinions are divided over the benefits and downsides of chewing gum. If you are a regular gum chewer, make sure you use sugar free products and check with your dentist about any potential damage.

What are the advantages of electric toothbrushes?

Electric toothbrushes are an excellent tool to keep your teeth clean and healthy. They offer many advantages:

They allow you to remove plaque more efficiently and quicker than manual toothbrushes.

You don't need to brush hard in order to get good results. This means that you are much less likely to injure your gums.

People who suffer from physical conditions like arthritis find electric toothbrushes as a great replacement to manual toothbrushes because they are easier to grip and you don't need to use as much physical power to get your teeth cleaned (the powered brushes do the cleaning).

It is more fun to brush with electric toothbrushes compared to manual toothbrushes, especially for children.

How can I avoid gum diseases?

Preventing Gum disease is important for your teeth. Here I will tell you some simple steps to get rid of Gum problem:

1.
Brush and floss: The best way to prevent gum disease is to brush and floss regularly, which eliminate bacteria at the gum line and between teeth without harming the gums themselves.

2. Go for regular Teeth check-up:
It will prevent you from the up-coming Gum problem.

3.
Stop smoking: Smoking decreases circulation, not allow to keep gums healthy, and it's also a primary contributor to gum disease.

4.
Chew sugar-free gum: When you can't brush after a meal, chewing sugar-free gum can help promote the production of saliva so tiny food particles can be cleared away and your mouth's healthy environment can be restored.
