see that service tag, that HP.com asks for or cant help you,
so same here, vast pavilions exist, non the same.

reset what, add one noun and win?
reset windows, if its running windows,
reset HDD to day one, new OS.
reset BIOS?
why not post clear symtoms, and then ask for help
with a full model number

the reasons is , youR unstated PC does not support w10, best guess on model full not told.
G6 means Gen 6
Pavillion name is used for desktops and laptops but is LAP. but you told internal word so is LAP.
internal = LAPTOP
pav G6.(no sub model told)
there are vast reasons but w10 killed the mic, tops the list. (the OEM support pages answer this)

mic is muted. in w10.
there can be other apps that use mic and the app is set muted.

or buy USB headphone/boom mic in one. and wow skype heaven.

NO PC told at all G6 tells me zero;
HP marked vast PC models G6. and are NOT The same PC.

try disconnecting power supply and removing battery as well then replace both and try again.Is it possible there was a power interruption while update was downloading. have you tried to access the bios on startup (press f9 at start of startup until it goes to bios)and see if all settings are ok

NO OS TOLD BUT IF UPGRADED THE OS ,LACKING HP.COM SUPPORT THEN SURE ALL THAT IS DEAD, SURE.

501 means UEFI is failing booting using that.
can mean lots of things. but corrupted OS is one.
or the kids played in BIOS page boot order and set it wrong.
