You can usually find replacement parts for vintage appliances on eBay using the make and model for your search. If none are currently listed, you can save the search so eBay will contact you via email when one gets listed.

SOURCE: Salton Belgium Waffle Maker

I, too, was searching for that wonderful Belgian Waffle recipe and thought, no problem, I'll just look on-line. I couldn't believe it when Salton didn't have it posted on their site (if they did, I couldn't find it) and was taken to your requests for the recipe. So, I went the whole mile, or should I say traveled over mountains of files, and couldn't believe that my filing system still works after all of these years, the Salton Belgian Waffle Maker & Recipe Guide for Model No. WM-4 was right where it was supposed to be. (And my husband, and prior bosses I should add, have laughed at how I save and file everything. I'm glad I can share this with you all now...

Basic Belgian Waffle Recipe
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg, separated
1/2 tbl butter, melted
-Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl
-Add egg yolk and milk to the dry ingredients and beat together thoroughly.
-Beat egg white until stiff, stir 1/4 into batter to lighten it and then gently fold in the remaining egg white.
-Pour a scant 1/2 cup of batter onto the heated waffle mold. The light should be off. When batter is added, the light will go on. When the light goes off again, the waffle is done.
-Makes about 6 waffles.

Chocolate Waffles ("which make great ice cream sandwiches," says the recipe book.)
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 egg, separated
2 Tbl melted butter
1 1/2 squares semi-sweet chocolate (1 1/2 ounces)
3/4 tsp vanilla
-Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl
-Add milk, egg yolk, and vanilla to dry ingredients and beat until well blended.
-Melt butter and chocolate together in microwave or double boiler. Stir chocolate mixture into batter.
-Beat egg white until stiff, stir 1/4 into the batter to lighten it and then gently fold in the remaining egg white.
-Pour a scant 1/2 cup of batter onto the heated heart waffle mold. (Hmm, the WM-4 isn't shaped into a heart??? Oh well, moving onward...)
-Makes about 6 waffles

Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar or cinnamon or topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.

SOURCE: Dead krups waffle iron

That is probably a thermal fuse. It is designed to open and stop heaters from working incase of over heat condition.

Meaning if you did not leave the appliance on too long with nothiung in it, the thermostat may be not opening at correct temp or the fuse was in a place where it got over heated or the fuse was weak.

You can replace it 1 time see if it worked ok but if it goes out again and you didn't see anything this time best replace it. Especially if under $50.00. Thermostat will probably run 1/2 of that. Thermal fuse 3 to 10. Try a heating AC parts store and take the old party with you.

If this helps you please help me by rating me as high as you can. Thanks for using fix ya.

SOURCE: Repalcement plates for Model 270A Toastmaster Waffle Iron?

Actually I have a Toastmaster 270A waffle iron. It is much better quality than the later toastmaster models, and it is basically identical to the Black & Decker model G48TD, which is still sold. You could get plates from Black & Decker. The entire iron sells for $50.

I am looking for the power cord for a Toastess waffle maker model -571. Can I purchase one through here?

We are not sellers on this site, but we do help people with specific problems and sometimes even help locate parts they need. I looked up your make/model and it appears the cord is a very common one. Here in the U.S. it is readily available at our local hardware stores. It can also be found on eBay, but you need to know the center to center prong measurement on your waffle iron to order the correct cord. Good luck!

Need 2 prong cord for old waffle maker

The model # is stamped on the bottom side of the unit, or on bottom where the cord plugs into it. Once you have the model #, you can find a good used replacement cord on eBay.

I have an old kenmore waffle baker, model number 632-64692, 120 vac. 1100 watts. It has a rattle in it and needs a cord. Is it worth fixing?

It might be, but "worth repair" is mainly up to you to decide. It depends on several things, mostly cost. Can you buy a new one that does what you want for $50 or so? Then you're probably better off doing that than trying to get your old one repaired. Even if you can find a shop that services small appliances - a rare thing today - minimum labor will be at least $20 just to check it over. Then there is the cost of parts, which may not be available at all for an old appliance. A cord is not likely to be a problem, but a rattle might mean some piece inside has broken off; if it's part of the case then there probably won't be parts available.

On the other hand, if you can't find something new, or this one has features you love and you think it's worth the cost, then it's definitely worth the repair. See what kind of money is involved, then decide.

Black electrical cord is frayed.

You can find replacement cords for many counter top appliances at most appliance and building supply stores. Try Ace, Home Depot, Lowes. Take the cooker with you to make sure you are getting the correct cord.

When the 100 watt iron heats up, it blows the circuit, even when it is the only appliance plugged in. House is 12 years old, so the wiring should be ok. What's wrong?

where the plug and cord wires are connected inside the barrel, the wires start to fray from rotating the iron barrel and start to fray and short, some irons you can remove the barrel from the handle by removing screws from the body of the iron, some are not able to be disassembled,if you can plug it in and the breaker doesnt blow, then rotate the cord and see if it blows the breaker then, this is a good sign of what is posted in my comment above
