If the water cooler is left on in a below freezing climate will the water cooler freeze?

Mine did this as well. last night the diplay read "LE" and the temp controls and the C/F buttons were unresponsive. I called Danby. Although I was on hold for 30 minutes, when they did answer they were very helpful. As mentioned elsewhere here, the touchpad has gone bad. You can order it right over the phone. The price of the touchpad is only $2 and shipping is $7. I ordered 2 of the touchpads (why not, right?) and the shipping was still $7 for the both. # for Danby is1-800-263-2629. Could be but sounds like it may be low on gas. What emp do you set it at. Should be about 35 degrees if you have it set to low it will ice up on you. Russ

Freezing means the cooler is overworking. And the means to stop at the correct point of time has gone. The rheostat has gone. Please replace it with one of exactly the same specs. Remove the present one and procure the same item and then replace it.

The cold control needs replacing. Thats the knob with the numbers that turn the Ref OFF and ON.
What I do is call my local Appliance Parts Store with my model no. They are extremely helpful .
Get freezer and ref thermometer. Ref is probably too cold.
Freezer should be 0 to 10 degrees. Ref 33 to 35
