How do I delete speed dial numbers on the Intellifax 2820?

Changing One Touch (For FAX Models Only) and Speed Dial Numbers
If you try to store a One Touch (FAX models only) or Speed Dial number in a
location where a number is already stored, the LCD shows the current name stored there, and then prompts you to either:
1 Press 1 to change the stored number-OR- press 2 to exit without making a change.
2 Enter a new number, and then press Menu/Set.
• If you want to erase the whole number, press Stop/Exit when the cursor
is to the left of the digits. The letters above and to the right of the cursor will be deleted.
• If you want to change a digit, use or to position the cursor under the digit you want to change, and then type over it.
3 Follow the directions beginning at Step 4 in Storing One Touch Numbers
(For FAX Models Only) and Storing Speed Dial Numbers.

I need to know how to program the numbers into the speed dial option. My mother's phone is a table set with large numbers #29267A ... close enough?

Before you store a telephone number in memory, make sure the dialing mode is
correctly set for the type of service you have. The default dialing mode is tone
(touch-tone), so if you have pulse (rotary) service, you must first change the dialing
mode. See “To Set the Dial Mode.” The following buttons can be stored into any
memory location: 0-9.
STORING FREQUENTLY CALLED NUMBERS
1. Pick up the handset.
2.Press the store button.
3. Push the desired memory location button.
4. Press the store button.
5.Use the handset number keys to enter the telephone number (up to 16-digits)
and press the store button.
6.Hang up the handset.
NOTE: If you make a mistake, use the delete button to delete wrong digits.
CHANGING A STORED NUMBER
Repeat the storage sequence above. The new number replaces the old number at
the memory location.
ERASING A STORED NUMBER
1. Pick up the handset.
2.Press the store button.
3.Press the memory location (0-9) to be erased.
4.Press delete for three seconds until the number in the display is erased.
5.Hang up the handset.
DIALING FREQUENTLY CALLED NUMBERS
1. Pick up the handset and press the mem button.
2. Press 0-9 for the memory location. The number dials automatically.
OR
1. Pick up the handset and press the dial button.
2. Press the review button for the desired memory location.
3. Press the dial button to dial the number.
OR
1. Press dial button while the handset is still in the cradle.
2. Press the review button for the desired memory location, lift the handset and the
number dials automatically.

Saving numbers

If you incorrectly stored an entry in speed dial, just do the steps to store a number. The previous number will be overwritten.

"With the handset on the cradle, dial the number to be stored. Next press set, then the location you want the number stored at. 0-9"

Hope this helps-wicc-

Deleting the recent log

thank u so much for trying to help. I guess my message wasnt clear enough though. The phone is not storing my "messages", I'm not having a problem with that, I can clear them, no problem. Its the "recent log" under the "add recipients" that does not clear. The "recent log" stores all the numbers you ever text messaged to. I want to clear the #'s that I've text messaged to, not regular calls, thats easy to clear. For some reason this phone stores all the #'s that you text to. If you can figure it out, i'll give u a million dollars!!! just joking of course.
thank u!
