Go to the Samsung web site and find the remote codes for the devices it will work. Also be sure your IR receiver "eye" isn't blocked or scratched somehow. You MUST have line of site for IR remotes to work. And, remember, some remote codes will work SOME features of a device, You may need to go through several to find he one that really does it all.
check to be sure your remote is sending IR signal, with
a smart phone camera hold remote IR eye in front of camera and click any buttons on remote, you should see
a light coming from IR eye. If no light emitting, remote needs to be replaced.
there are two tests to chk which is bad, wether it is the control switch or the elemnt.disconnect the power to stove and open the top and disonnect the wires from elemnt and chks the continuity of the elemnt coil with a multimeter.if the meter does not read continuity then elemnt is bad.to confirm this connect the wires back to the elemnt and plug the unit to power, turn on the switch to high position and read the voltage coming to elemnt.it should be 240 volts.if u read that voltage, then for sure element is bad.if every thing is opposite to this then it is the control switch which is bad.
Try the setup program. When you get to the main setup screen, look for a reset all to standard setting. That may solve the problem. If it doesn't then the sound module may need to be replaced inside the TV.
The remote receiver in the TV set, or its associated circuits inside the TV are not working. This would be fully proven by trying another known working remote on the TV set.
LOL, optical eye? OK, that’s the problem, there is no such part. However, you did not say if any other buttons were working on your remote, ie ch up and down, input, power on and off, ect. If so, it will not be your remote. If you the volume is not working, check you menu setup, under the audio setup. If no remote functions are work, you can try the inferred Receiver. Its only about 20.00 to replace and can be found at most part stores.Cheaper if you change only the IR block itself. TV tech
I have found several of these that have had that problem and the ones i repaired had the same problem the power had failed to the laser eye. it was a different fix for each but that was the basic answer you can take it apart if its not under warrenty and look at the power board look for burnt resistors they turn black, or darker brown spots on the board. one did have the motor that controlled the eye bad the eye would not move.
if the remote eye on the tv it will do all kinds of strange stuff once the eye on tv gets dirty the the tv will shut off after 2 seconds try cleaning it and see what happens the eye on tv is hard toget to so get a can of air to blow it out i took my pocket knife to clean mine i know that was ruff on eye but thats all i had if this dont work try unpluging your control board on front of set board may be bad or buttons are stuck email me at [email protected] if this helps
