Hard to know exactly without being there on the spot but the link will provide good information on how they work. Your fridge also has a dual water inlet valve. The door can provide you water while the ice maker can not receive water because of the second inlet valve. Whirlpool W10408179 Water Inlet Valve AppliancePartsPros com
if there's ice on the inside back wall of the freezer you have a defrost problem.i need the model number so i can help you.open the fridge door, look up on the right hand side up near the ceiling and you'll see a tag with the number,if it's older look down near the bottom hindge near the kick plate
As long as it doesnt affect cooling operation, this will be normal. There is a heater in that area meant to keep the door gasket from building frost. Without it the door gasket wont properly stick giving you that air tight seal.
If it is broke right where it goes into the door it is tricky to repair. You have to fish it in and out of the door. Some refrigerators you actually have to replace the whole door. You can buy a hose coupler at any appliance sales store to fix it if there is a few inches or so before it goes into the door. Actually you shaould have a coupling a few inches away in that spot already. They are put there so you can remove the door.
This should be OK. There are heat strips placed behind the door frame to prevent sweating around the door frame due to the metal being cold normally without the strips. Thanks, Sea Breeze
this is for sure the reeason for the heat between the doors, in mean time ( whike waitin got replace the fan behind the compressor, you can install a small cheap house fan behind unit to keep it cool , ohterwise it will eventually damage the compressor
hi tanks for the question there are heaters at the spots you said were hot and those heaters are there to prevent moist air from hitting cold surface and create warer droplets from forming on those surfaces i would remove the back of the fridge and vacuum it out that should solve your problem thanks the appliance doc
