(Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Panasonic DMR-EZ485V. Remote stopped working when

Panasonic website under FAQs. Using code shown on dvd readout,
such as RC2, press 2 & enter or ok, hold for 2 seconds, and machine
will reset connection between remote & dvd recorder. So stupidly simple it works.

L need a multi region code for a panasonic dmr-ez47v.

Panasonic DMRs cannot be unlocked for muliti region simply by entering a code form the normal remote or front panle controls.

Panasonic machines require a special remote control in order to make them multi region. Panasonic dealers will unlock your machine for you but will charge you - this is expensive.

Alternatively, if you search eBay you will find devices that will unlock your machine that can be purchased or "rented", for considerably less than a dealer will charge.

I have two panasonic recorders whose remotes compete. I reset one to setting 1 and the other to setting 2 to fix. Now one of the machines will not respond to either remote (the other is fine). How do I...

Try changing the settings back to the original setting on the remote that goes to the machine that is not responding. You might consider investing in a universal remote where you can program or self detect the frequency for each machine, but has a multi channel program setting so that you can have both machine frequencies on one remote. Let me know if this works or you need further assistance.

Panasonic DMR ES15

Got me too... If the buttons on the main unit work normally, then possibly main unit and remote control are using different codes. Main unit shows SET 1; change remote control code to match it: Press and hold [ENTER] and code number [1] keys for more than two seconds. Fix listed in Operating Instructions troubleshooting guide, Operation section (pg 42). MULTI.PDF">http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMRES15-MULTI.PDF

A special remote is used to change the region code. However, to my knowing, it is not availble for the normal consumer.

Dvd recorder remote control

Anytime your unit displays RC1, 2, or 3 - the remote code needs to be reset. Other messages are "chk remote n" or "set n", n being the number 1, 2 or 3. These remote codes are set in case you have multiple products that interact w/ the remote - so when operating one device the other doesn't interfere. Unfortunately, every now and then for completely unknown reasons, they can slip out of the proper code. All you have to do (if your remote is, in fact, functional) is press and hold the number on the remote that corresponds with that which displays on the unit - in your case the number 3, and hold the Enter key at the same time for about 5 to 10 seconds. This should resume operation shortly thereafter. However, you will not see any confirmation on the display as you are performing this reset. It is trial and error.

Panasonic DMR-EX77EB - Multi Region Code

Hi,
I am not aware of any codes that can make it region free. There are however alternatives. One is to send it off to get it chipped and the other option (which I think is more preferable) is to buy a chipped remote control (you can buy it here).
